What’s Cookin' on Gameday 2026
(Since I was traveling these last few weeks)
In the vein of what's cooking with Scotman and Attyla.
As in years past, the 2026 What’s Cookin for Gameday thread. Post each week what you’re having on Gameday, drinks, appetizers etc,
Last year’s turned up some good stuff, so keep these in mind:
* Each week post what you are having for food, aka main dish.
* Appetizers?
* Desert?
* Each week what are you drinking?
* Include what you're having if you're tailgating.
* If you are ordering, what are you ordering?
* Brunch, you name it.

I'm thinking a flat iron steak and good ol' Budweiser. That's a simple single guy meal...lol.

To die for:Rabidraider wrote: Fri Sep 25, 2026 12:53 pm So you food geeks. I've really into quality extra virgin olive oil. I even take a shot before bed every night.
I use it on pretty much everything thats reasonable, Just love the stuff. Lots of fake crap out there and been using California ranch, Cobram estates and Pantanna to name a few.
So anyone know of any other high end ones?

For local cheaper stuff, I love all the Graza olive oil line. They had drizzle (salads) and sizzle (higher heat). They just came out with frizzle (even a higher heat). I just had it yesterday and its excellent.
There is a minimum purchase, so I buy some vinegar (excellent) and wine (EXCELLENT).

I see lots of reviews that Graza is very good. I'll give it a try.RI RAIDER wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 9:03 am To die for:

I'll have to try that if I see it. I use Atlas olive oil, the best I've used so far.RI RAIDER wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 9:03 am To die for:

Today, going lazy. Got some pre made fried chicken from the local supermarket. Surprisingly good tho. Already have Bloody Marys going. Baked beans and potato salad. Good enough for a recent empty nester, all by my lonesome.

In & Out for lunch. Made some macaroni salad and chicken strips wrapped with bacon and BBQ sauce drizzled on top. Got some good whiskey to go with it and I am good to go.

I see both you and Attyla commenting on In n' Out. Do you guys just order straight menu or do you go off menu like animal style, protein style....?Amish Cabal wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 10:44 am Just got back from a trip to San Antonio, and got to have my beloved In n Out again. Single with cheese, animal style. Fries were normal since I like their fries just fine. Not everyone agrees though.ELCAraiderfan wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 11:13 am I see both you and Attyla commenting on In n' Out. I agree with normal on the fries, they're good. I go double double animal style most times, protein style sometimes and add a strawberry shake to complete mealAttyla wrote: Sun Sep 27, 2026 11:22 am Single with cheese, animal style. I'm just made I left a new jar of my fav BBQ sauce over there lol. He usually hosts and I'll bring or cook the food. Good times.

If I'm feeling extra indulgent I'll get either a fry-lite or a chocolate shake
