Succession Plan
Probably doesn’t need its own thread but I thought it would be Brady. Or is that still Brady?

Funny, all those great seasons with the old badasses I never once pondered how the players “felt treated” or how the families of the players felt.

I’m not advocating being evil. I’m saying it’s possible to be good, kind, compassionate, moral, upstanding, AND intelligent. Doofus never implemented the intelligence part. Which is why the team has sucked under his guidance.NoThanksSir wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 11:51 am We have more championships than Baltimore and the Davis family can hold their head high knowing they treated their employees like humans with families. You can take the Ravens, I'll keep losing with a team I'm proud to be a fan of
Also, let’s not heap too much praise to his goodwill ambassadorship lest you forget there’s been at least 10 lawsuits filed against the Raiders for Discrimination-Wage/Labor Violations-Retaliation and Harassment Allegations, since 2013. “Toxic Workplace” was used multiple times amongst the lawsuits.
Since you brought up the Ravens. That’s you, not me. The Ravens have had 1 notable lawsuit that included the entirety of the NFL by cheerleaders filed in 2017.
Mark Davis has been a failure. Big Al in his later years was a failure. It’s been a shitshow. I have no idea what you’re holding your head up proud for unless it’s early Al accomplishments. And early Al is the reason ALL of us are here. Those days are long gone.

For me, Doofus has never seemed to be as sharp and cunning as Al...pretty sure Mark "rode the short bus".GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 2:38 pm I’m not advocating being evil. Yeah, and I'm kind of surprised he does not have any children, his own or adopted.

Well I disagree that Mark has been a failure. Your experience may differ from mine, but I've actually enjoyed the product far more since Mark took over. We all understand Al fell apart at the end. You're beating a dead horse there. Sure we are still trying to put things together since the move to Vegas but I think the brand is in a healthy place. The Mark Davis hate is low IQ playground bullying because the guy has a bad haircut.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 2:38 pm I’m not advocating being evil. The "bad haircut" thing has nothing to do with my lack of patience for Mark and there's no "hate" eitherNoThanksSir wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 4:24 pm Well I disagree that Mark has been a failure. And if you truly prefer Mark's Raiders over Al's Raiders, I have to assume that you also enjoy skin grafts and root canals. Mark's record is 76-112-0. Al's?.. "When Davis took over in 1963 up through 1992, the Raiders' winning record of . 661 with 285 victories, 146 losses and 11 ties ranks as the best among all major sports teams."

dude deserves a lot of credit in turning around the value of the raiders, when mark took over the team we had a net worth of under a billion, then he made the move outta oakland, outmaneuvered sheldon adelson a dude worth 40 billion, got nevada to fork over to build teh stadium and got all the rights to it, now vegas is the highest priced ticket in teh n.f.l and its brand worth is close to 10 billion dollars, anyone think al davis could have done that ??? hell no he got swindled multiple times by los angeles and oaklandNoThanksSir wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 4:24 pm Well I disagree that Mark has been a failure. The Raiders business has thrived in spite of Mark, not because of Mark. His good fortune has been made on the back of his Father, and the city of Las Vegas.mstrbass2000 wrote: Fri Mar 20, 2026 4:44 pm we r talking about football, there is 2 sides to it the business side and the product side, mark has been brilliant on teh business side of it he grew it from aorund 750 million to 10 billion id put him at the genius side of it
Would you rather follow a team because of their monetary value or because they actually win games? If it's the former, the Cowboys are available.
As far as teams' value?...
