That’s what I keep telling these guys.,the First drive Geno did play action three times in a row and 8 Cowboy defenders all went with Jeanty. It worked for a while, I mean Geno got them to the Redzone and then he stalled because now play action didn’t work any more. Cowboys took away the pass in the redzone.Oaktownonly wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 8:55 pm Because no team fears Geno Smith so they stack the box. Jeanty is fcked.
And then to make matters worse, Chip decided to run the ball from the 1 yard line and got a safety because 4 Cowboys defenders were in the backfield once Jeanty touched the ball. And then you ask why he’s not getting the ball..that’s why.

Announcers said during the game that Jeanty gets 1.4 yards before first contact which is the worst in the league. That’s on the oline more than Jeanty

Eight for 13 yards total. We are on pace to be the worst rushing team in recent NFL history.

From drafting to free agency to starting lineup decisions, the FO, Pete and staff have shown next to nothing in terms of putting a competitive team on the field. Going to be a rough off-season I think for those guys.

Surely this is sarcasm.Opoponax50 wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 9:04 pm Keep Pete, keep Chip. Let Geno start the rest of the way.
Pete's competent. He certainly isn't the best HC in the NFL, but he's competent enough to get enough players and consistency from those players; just not this season. Right now he's working with a team full of players picked by no less than three GMs and HCs. Same with Chip.
So fine, Geno was a bad miss, but there was no one else. Darnold would've done dick-all here. I suppose we could've drafted Dart and signed Geno. That might've been the best move, but this board would've eviscerated the team for drafting a 2nd round ranked pick inside the top 15, let alone the top 10. Besides, how bad would it have been for Dart or any other rookie QB playing behind this line?
I don't see how anyone can still get so pissed off about this team sucking. This year ain't it. Accept it and quit calling for heads. It won't do us any good.
What has made you believe that PC, CK or GS have one cunt hair of competence this year? You talk about the players Pete is working with but look at HIS draft class. They were all misses aside from the no brainer Jeanty pick. And guess what, he will be considered a miss soon if Spytek cant right the ship.
You are 100% wrong. PC, CK, PG and GS all need to go.

3 of the spots should be up for grabs, or filled via free agents. Kolton at LT and JPJ at one of the IOL. DJ Glaze at RT, maybe. If JPJ is not the C, then we need to go out and sign a top end C. Its not long ago we signed Rodney Hudson, Kelechi Osemele as the backbones of that 2016 team. Same thing needs to happen here, we have the cash. This is important to see what we have with Rogers at G.Xramfan wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 10:45 pm Announcers said during the game that Jeanty gets 1.4 yards before first contact which is the worst in the league. Twice this season, a team took a knee inside the 10-yard line on us before the two minute warning.
Maximum humiliation.

And that's going to accomplish what? Some magical HC is going to waltz in with 4 years worth of players he didn't pick and have gone through four systems already? You act as if this team is just a good coaching staff away from being good. It's like saying that a maid service should've enough to clean up Chernobyl.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 2:09 am Surely this is sarcasm.

This team needs to be torn down and completely rebuilt by someone who's demonstrated an ability to do that. Carrol's done that. Geno is a worse bridge than anyone thought, but that's what he is--a bridge. And the O-line is a group of players who weren't brought in by Kelly in order to enhance his system. It's a hodgepodge of players brought in by three previous regimes learning their third system in three years.
Eleven HCs in the last 20 years and what's it gotten us?
Nothing's changing without stability from an experienced staff.

The line is better with JPJ, but he can't take the punishment. For whatever reason, his body isn't up to it. He was injured in college and he's been injured most of the time he's been here.raiderjohn wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 4:21 am 3 of the spots should be up for grabs, or filled via free agents. With Kolton Miller entering the twilight of his career we literally need five O-linemen. Right now we're starting depth players. Ideally we get the two guys we drafted in 2025 on the field to see if they show some promise. At this point in the season there's nothing to lose and before going IOL heavy in 2026 the staff needs get some idea if they can play at a competitive level in the NFL. After all, those guys were their picks, so let's see what they can do.

Im confused. You say the team needs to be torn down completely and rebuilt by someone who can but you and I both know that's not happening. Mark is not selling the team. Nothing is changing without stability from an experienced staff but you say we're not a coaching staff away from being good? You seem to contradict yourself multiple times in that post.Opoponax50 wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:07 am And that's going to accomplish what? I will ask you the same question I've asked others. Out of those 11 HCs in the last 20 years, how many were worth a damn? They all deserved to be fired. Just like the QB, you keep trying until you get the right guy. I'd be half willing to agree with you if Pete wasnt f[raiders_icon]cking 75 years old and we had time. We dont, not with him. And Chip, yea, he doesn't belong in the NFL. If that wasnt clear to you last night than I dont know what to tell you.

You are whining to us that your "investment" is not paying off? Don't they always warn you: "Past performance is no guarantee of future results"? The Raiders were sucking their last year in Oakland and still suck. You bet that all games would sell out due to opponents' ticket buying. It wasn't a sure thing. Hang in there though -- don't we HAVE to get better at some point? When Mahomes retires? And Nix doesn't work out? And Herbert gets consistent?FlyBono24 wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 8:59 pm These assholes at the ticket sales are actually calling me to renew my ST's next year.... yeah fcking right.
At least in the past I could get my money back or make a profit on games I don't attend. It's dwindling down year after year though.
This year we canceled plans for the 2 games we originally planned (they lost BOTh so good call there) and I didn't sell tickets to either of those games, and still haven't sold the Browns game so I'll probably LOSE MONEY this year!!
fck THAT!!

Kiffin was the best of the group but considering the circumstances he would have never been successful.BoKnows81 wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:16 am Im confused. As things stand today no one will be successful under our current ownership which means the Raiders are f[raiders_icon]cked for awhile.

I mentioned this in another post but the entire staff needs removed yesterday. I know they always seem to make the wrong hire so whomever is next will probably fail but this current staff is beyond abysmal.

Exactly and Kelly keeps trying to work play action off of that.srv5490 wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 10:47 pm Eight for 13 yards total. We are on pace to be the worst rushing team in recent NFL history.
I have never seen a worse Raiders offensive coordinator and I have seen my share of bad ones.

Mark should test the water and see if Kiffin would come back and coach the raiders; he doing pretty good in college as HC….and he would know the right players to draft in 2026ToastPatterson wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 7:59 am Kiffin was the best of the group but considering the circumstances he would have never been successful.
