true, and people use the Washington game to explain away 12 games. utter bullshit, the line. Carr was sacked just 20 times all year, so yea, that was a line that protected him well.
It was the 12-4 team wasn't very good or deep. Fans felt the next year we would show improvement and with a healthy Carr we would make a Super Bowl run. When that didn't happen they assumed it was all Carr's injured ankle and Musgrave leaving..
It was a lot of things. The year before you don't have 7 or 8 game winning drives late in the 4th. They were extremely lucky. That doesn't happen. Good team don't need that many come from behind wins. We were also 2nd in the league in turnovers in 2016. 2017 turnovers cut in half.
So no late game heroics and no defensive turnovers means you have a below average team. It was just lucky the year before and not sustained success.
Then when Gruden came in everyone thought it was Del Rein's fault and Gruden was a winner and would get us back to that 12-4 team. But the roster still sucked and Gruden trade away Mack and Cooper. He had to do. it. We sucked with them and needed to start from scratch. When we didn't win in Gruden first year, then the hate came after Carr. It couldn't be Gruden and fans kept thinking that this was a 12-4 team, when it wasn't. It was actually the worst roster in the NFL.
It wasn't del rio, it wasn't Gruden, it want Carr. It was a shitty f[raiders_icon]cking team that fans were led to believe was a super bowl contender And those raider team were the furthest thing from a super bowl contender.
Monster game from Lynch 18-76. Carr's 22-32-262 2Td's. It was all Lynch. This is exactly what I'm talking about over time. You hate Carr so much you can't admit when he had a good game.
I can care less who the Qb is, just want to win. This team is finally showing improvement from year to year. And fans aren't happy. Its almost like the would rather be 3-13 every year and be miserable. Because that is what the future looks like.
I did not say Carr did not have a good game, he did, but the story that day was Lynch. You obviously did not watch the game because the stat line is only part of the story.

Titans came out and on the first play pulled a bone head onside. We recovered and had a short field. Later on, rather than give the ball to Lynch on 1st and goal at the 1 we throw three corner routes to Cooper, 1 bounced off his hands, the other two were deflected. That was when we started giving the ball to Lynch who chewed up the clock giving their defense a lot of time on the field in brutal hot and humid, cloudless day.

Again, I was there. The story was Lynch.

Darren get over yourself, that line was a mother. 20 sacks on the year, other than Washington, he had all kinds of time to throw the ball.
It is frustrating arguing with someone who does not have knowledge. The only people stating that Carr is comparable to Gannon are those that have not seen Gannon play and cherry pick a stat or two. I don't know if it is a generational thing or what but I don't understand why people who are completely unfamiliar with a player feel like they have the wherewithal to make astute comparisons about that player. It appears a couple of stats are all they need to feel like they have all the evidence they need.
I’m waiting for he’s better than Stabler.

So the great offensive line that gave him all day to throw the ball over the past 6 games got Carr's ankle broken and got his back broken.

And the play that resulted in a traverse process fracture was one of 20 sacks all season.

But keep trying, this shit is funny as hell.

If he had the ankle in game 2 he would have played again that season.

The back injury was the most mild version of that break there is. There was no way that back injury should have ended his season. Do some homework before you post that shit.

the other was a fluke injury. His lines those two years were considered top 5 and graded out just like that.

give me a break.

Romo at one point did have that injury and missed a game
