I keep telling you fellas, Carr does enough to stay. He is doing enough to get his next deal too. 5 years, 35M per, and 120M of it is going to be guaranteed.
Don’t extend Carr, he still has a year on his contract after this season. Bring in the new GM, coach, staff etc. if there is no viable replacement for Carr this off season let the new regime play Carr next season and decide on if he gets a new contract or not.
As much as i think Carr licks the basement toilet in Satans house, no Agent is ever going to let an NFL Quarterback play on a one year deal to play to get paid contract. Dak Prescott gave all Agents the collusion they needed when that happened. Any agent that would allow it should be fired, and i'm not a Carr fan. You must be someone delusional about life and business.

I just don't know how much. Almost everytime a hold out starts, the guy gets signed and paid. Rodgers not even playing this year to get out of his contract was discussed iirc.

35 would be game over imo. 30 million better than a rookie is saying a whole lot and I just don't see it. It is his damn near his market value though.

I still think Attyla is right. I have yet to see a QB making that much of his teams cap (Especially Carr) win the big game and I bet I never will - I am not signing the checks though. If we see playoffs, 35 - if not 32 imo.

Without a Superbowl appearance he will not give Carr a new contract. Carr's got this year as well as the 2022 season to get it done. Some people (Derek and David Carr, Attyla etc...) want Carr extended now, but Mark's too old to play that Carr-waiting-game again. Mark wants it now and if the Raiders are not in the Superbowl next month he may just sign Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson or Deshaun Watson.

One's happy as hell because he's f[raiders_icon]cking off when the season is over, Superbowl or not. One is starting to break down because of years of R.P.O. on his body, and trying to prop up his wife's broke down pop star singing career. The third will cut a deal , and be in the Darren Sharper Resort for a 5-7 year stint. I don't know what way they will go at the position, but those are not realistic options.

Right back to .500 football, and full blown self preservation mode.

So I expect that if the Raiders don't make the Supervbowl this year Bissacia is out and next year Harbaugh will be wearing the silver and black. For QB if Mark and Harbaugh don't like Rodgers, Wilson, or Watson then maybe they will try for a younger big name such as Mayfield or Tagovailoa.

Mark loves him some DC, when he broke his leg he left the team which was on the brink of the playoffs to spend time with Carr after surgery. Mark knows that Carr can get yards and is the very image of a QB who will never do something stupid and get caught with his pants down so the image will not be shattered. And Carr is the kind of QB every coach would say they can fix the small issues to get him over the top. He can make all the throws and if his line holds up he will move the ball between the 20s.

He will be the next Raiders signing for starting QB, Mark will make it happen. Hell he will probably require his next HC candidate sign off on Carr before he hires him.

Or Wilson top 10 pick this year will be any different then Carr. When those were playoff teams they had good defenses and talent at the wideouts. Watson went from the playoffs to top 5 pick after losing Hopkins. And Wilson still has metcalf and Lockett and can't put up points with two gamebreaking WR's. Do you think Zay Jones and Brain Edwards are going to turn into prime Jerry Rice and Randy Moss to put points on the board once he's the QB.

Carr has the 4th most yards in the league, Rodgers is 9th. But Rodgers is 3rd in the league in TD passes while Carr is 13th. You can blame the pieces all you want but some guys get it done.

Of course if we signed them and had the same results we do now, they would suck and not be good enough.
