mranquales wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 4:10 am It did, actually. The consensus among Raider fans is he was drafted too high for his position (LB). Many believed he was a one-year wonder from a smaller school.

Also, we run a 4-3 and he was in a 3-4 in college.

All throughout his rookie year, and even halfway through his second year, his impact on the game week to week was in hot debate. Specifically, when it came to getting sacks.

 10 whole minutes!? Yeah, you really did your research.

 Also, you're conflating where he was drafted with whether or not the consensus was, he was a good draft pick. Two different things buddy.

 The consensus when Carr was drafted was, he would be a backup/bridge QB for a bigger name we would select the following year. I argued that the staff saw him as a franchise QB and we wouldn't be looking for another QB for a long time.

Prove it.

A more recent example: Jakorian Bennett. He was 4th round pick, and I was dead on the money with my evaluation of him.
I was right about AOC being the best QB on the team at the time, and he currently still is.
I was right about Tyree Wilson, my evaluation of him was the minority opinion, now it's the majority.

 You guys love to claim I'm wrong about everything, but the facts tell a completely different story.

 When we drafted Jack Bech, I stated he was drafted mostly for his blocking. When they interviewed Pete Carroll about Bech, the first thing he mentioned was his blocking.

 I can keep going.
One of the most common signs of a narcissist is a constant need for praise or admiration. People with this behavior need validation from others. They often brag or exaggerate their accomplishments for recognition. They like to feel appreciated to boost their ego.

With the right treatment, some narcissists can learn to spot their behavior. This can improve their lives and the lives of those around them. But narcissists often don’t seek help because it doesn’t fit the image they have of themselves.

I can keep going, but it wouldn’t do any good.

 Sure.

You made a false claim and I debunked it. Now you're resorting to ad hominem attacks because you can no longer argue the topic.

Like you exaggerated the claim that I'm always wrong about everything?

 Oh, and let's not forget this all started because you went out of your way to quote me and made a grandiose statement that you knew would get a response.

Then I should never post on this site again.

Yeah. That's looking like a win for us. But Cleveland's D is pretty good. We eke out a win 9-3

Monday morning QB's. You have to love them. Right 100% of the time for the biscuit. I feel some would rather be right even if its to the detriment of the team. Its almost like politics the last 2 or 3 decades. Folks forget who the home team is.

If I had such self described powers of foresight I surely wouldn’t be wasting it here. Imagine, winning the lottery, and other betting endeavor.

Nahhh, I’ll just post on a Raiders forum.

Certainly weird.

The best draft strategy isn’t to get enamored with anyone QB but rather look at the traits a team needs. Add to this weeding out the “phenomenal athletes” who can’t hit the broad side of a barn with a pass.

Far better to have a range of guys rather than get stuck on any one QB. Repeat the following year(s) as needed.

First, please never post again.

Second, your need for validation is well documented. You get triggered every time you are proven wrong. Again, well documented.

And I know for a fact that you never claimed Mack would be a superstar. And the "deleted" claim was debunked repeatedly.

And with that, back to the regular discussions

I believe its time to win meaningless games and move out of the top 10 in the draft.

Tonight's game has that kind of vibe.

But to see Jerry cry, I'm good with a win.

Jimmy had a nice part in Landman last season. Not sure if true but I heard he ad libbed most of his lines. I’ve neither liked or disliked him.

Go Raiders or tank……whatever works

Raiders will end up winning the next three and draft out of the top 10. If that is the case OT all the way. I don't want them selling the farm to draft a QB until the team is ready to help him succeed. Sellers or the kid from Arkansas will be available later rounds if we're out of the top 10.

If we fall out of the top 5 and into the 10-20 position it kind of makes things easier because then the team can go BPA or BPA at position of need, like the O-line. Put another way, this team is so bad at draft decisions that having the decision made for them is a safer route.

Jerry helped get us to Vegas & made the league money a lot faster. I have nothing against him

Woods is overrated. Someone also stated we need 3 new starting Olineman, it’s more like 2. I have no problem with Miller, JPJ, and Glaze. In fact all 3 would look far better if we didn’t have the 2 weak links on the IOL. Before I get roasted on Glaze, I’m tracking he’s only average, but he should continue to get better. If he doesn’t than he’ll be replaced in good time.
