gruden was 1 year removed from 12-4 season and he rather tear the team apart than winning with jack del rio's team
didn't the raiders made the playoffs in 2016 and look what happen in 2017, 6-10
Ah, the famous Washington game where nobody outside of the Raider organization knows what happened. All we know is that JDR lost the team and didn’t seem to want to coach the Raiders anymore.

Not all the time but most the time if a team makes the playoffs they continue to be competitive. It is not a universal but there are many examples of sustained playoff runs after a single win gets them into the second season.

There are also examples of 1 time entrants who do not repeat. You can usually find a reason for that.

He got a long term contract so he had time to build it the way he wanted it to be. Lot's of coaches who take over immediately start rebuilding their teams in their image. As much as I did not want Gruden, I also did not want Gruden coaching a team that did not have the pieces he needed to be successful.

Well if nothing else, the mentality seems to have shifted to 'if we win, Carr is responsible for it".

Glad we all could finally agree that the QB is responsible for their win loss record. That makes Carr responsible for the most losses in any QB in first 8 years if we want to play that game.

That or we could admit that last minute 'heroics' after 55 minutes of bad play, does not point to Carr being the cause of this win. I never look at two turnovers as a good thing.

Too soon? Are we still denying reality?
Could be worse, we could have Mayfield as a QB. Holy f[raiders_icon]ck he sucks
Or Wentz for that matter. Indy looks like a good possibility if we shop Carr this off season.
Just Win Baby!
That final play was great, no question. He had that great sideline throw last year as well.

That was a no questions asked, we need this, response from Carr. Thank God he cleaned up the mess he made.

Just trying to keep reality in the discussion, it seems to have escaped more than a few. Turnovers make winning exponentially more difficult and Carr needs to clean it up.

* Over the past three games, Carr has averaged less than 235 yards passing, with a sub 90 passer rating. He has 3 TDs, 4 interceptions, and 3 fumbles (2 lost).

This ain't a Cinderella season, Carr is playing his worst football of the year when we need him to play at his best.

Thank God the team around him has stepped up and fortune gave us weaker opponents than expected.

That stupid, meaningless W against Arizona cost the Raiders Kyler Murray....

Arizona LBer I believe it was had a game ending int he dropped...

That's the one thing that scares me about winning vs LA (and I want to Win). That Davis stays with this coaching staff and Carr because of it...

This team has a minus 68 point differential. Thats gotta be some kind of record if they make the playoffs....
So if Care wins Sunday night and the first playoff game we don't have to hear how much he sucks anymore?
In my opinion, no. He will still be a very inconsistent and mediocre QB that we should be looking to upgrade.
