He would be helping his employer potentially land a valued player. As far as any legal ramifications/sanctionable acts, he would have plausible deniability; he can rely on and hide behind his professional opinion. The athletes would continue to use him as long as he remains a good surgeon, that's what the players care about, not how he performs un his side hustle. Finally, his god complex would make him impervious to criticism and attacks on his reputation.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:45 pm What would he get out of doing that? The loss of his professional reputation? The loss of athletes using him as their doctor? An investigation and possible sanctions by the TX State Board of Medical Examiners? Potentially a lawsuit by Crosby. Potentially a tortious interference lawsuit by the Raiders?

What Karma could have looked like:
Hendrickson shows up at 4:00 pm EST time and says he signed with the Steelers after they offered him slightly less.
The Bengals trade their 10th overall pick to the Raiders along with a 2027 2nd rounder for Crosby.
The Raiders select Rueben Bain DE with the 10th pick 4 spots ahead of the Ravens.
Raiderfandan wins the lottery.
Well it’s my dream.

Doubt he posts this without an understanding from Raiders he’s not being traded. After the Ravens mess if he posted this then got traded in the next couple days he would look pretty dumb. I’m thinking he’s here for the season. Maybe this humbled him a bit??

He was used to being treated like the franchise then got treated like used trash by the Ravens. Maybe he realized the grass is not always greener. He may also have spiritual beliefs that this was a sign.

Well, don't we get the Ravens again in 2027? Go get em Maxx! And should be a home game?

Who was the lineman that the Raiders signed awhile back but then he “failed” his physical and the signing was null and voided? Raider fans everywhere gave Mark Davis praise for creating the “buyers remorse” failed physical excuse.

Roger Saffold, and Reggie was going to way overpay for him.Xramfan wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:39 pm Who was the lineman that the Raiders signed awhile back but then he “failed” his physical and the signing was null and voided? Like everyone has said it was Saffold, but for a quarter of the price that off-season the raiders signed Donald Penn.Xramfan wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:39 pm Who was the lineman that the Raiders signed awhile back but then he “failed” his physical and the signing was null and voided? Crazy, I know, that that worked in the raiders favor...

Cause he wanted out and he puts his ego above staying healthy. He needs to play like 20% less snaps but he never will.

Dr Daniel Cooper, who is the Cowboys team doctor and is a world renowned knee specialist was the doctor who did his physical. While he found that the surgical procedure was progressing, he was not cleared and as a result, Baltimore passed on Crosby. When you have a specialist of his level of expertise doing the evaluation, it is pretty much a done deal. And you have to understand, these are medical opinions so somewhat subjective. What happened in Baltimore was so rare they would not have had a backup evaluator available.Raider_Dave wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:10 pm We wont get any info, but it would seem like the league could have an independent Dr review the information.
All that to say, is it shady? One can make the case very easily. Did Baltimore stack the deck? Almost certainly. Did we get screwed? That would be an opinion, but I would say our defense as it stands now is significantly improved.

There was no way Maxx was passing a physical 8 weeks out from surgery, doesn’t matter who the doctor is. Every team knew this going into FA. As you stated, our defense is improved, especially if we retain him.Attyla wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2026 3:16 am Dr Daniel Cooper, who is the Cowboys team doctor and is a world renowned knee specialist was the doctor who did his physical. And ya, we got screwed. You don’t agree to a trade, let a team you’re trading with go and spend a boat load of cash signing guys, and then get cold feet because you saw something else shiny, not to mention we were signing players around the idea we had an extra first round pick.
Pisses me off they can get away with being complete douche bags with no repercussions. As many have said tho, time to move on.
