So can we actually hire him on Sat? I mean I get that he’s busy right now but if he committed and told us who he wants on staff couldn’t we start signing some of those guys?

Davis is already paying multiple coaches next year so other than it being a little embarrassing I don’t care how much it costs and neither should the Raiders. We can’t go into next season with our 4th or 5th choice at HC. Offer him f[raiders_icon]ck you money and let’s start building a staff.

Yeah, Schwartz sure was pissed he didn't get the job with the Browns...so he's as good as gone.eastcoast128 wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 5:26 pm If Kubiak is hired, he brings with him some of his Seattle coaches. For example Harbough is taking several coaches to the Giants. Monkin is taking the ravens o-line coach with him to the Browns
Although Jim Schwartz had a top 4 def in Cleveland, last year, he was passed over by Browns ownership for Monkin. I’d love to see him come to Vegas. Would help Kubiak in countless ways

You're a dreamer, I like that. I guess it is still possible.KillerRaider30 wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 4:58 pm Webb said no to the HCing spot, is there a chance he becomes our OC?

That's what I'm saying. He's not coming here because kubiak will be calling his own plays. Same with Payton. He calls his own plays. I think Webb will take one of the other OC positions where he can gain that experience that some say he's missingraidersince63 wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 5:21 pm I can't see the new HC hiring someone who wanted his job and wanted to be the HC himself.

I don't think there's a chance Webb leaves the likely chance to be OC in Denver to be OC with the Raiders under Kubiak. If he were to leave Denver to be an OC, I'd think it would be for a job working with a defensive HC so he can be the de facto HC of the offense. I think the ideal OC fit would actually be a guy who's come up through the oline stream - we need to get the oline and the run game right and that would be the ideal way to attract the best guy to develop our oline. If you offer an oline coach an OC opportunity, then a team can't block it.

I'm not expecting that but if it is revealed Kubiak a DC we really like and Webb and a OL coach that's been successful, break out the McMahon laser beam meme.

Where there is smoke there is fire. Too many "unnamed sources" are linking Kubiak to the Raiders for this to be a mirage. I like our chances, a lot, baring some 12th hr setback.

Fingers-crossed we hear something tomorrow after the Kubiak interview ala Kellen Moore last year.
