The whole doctor thing is just an illusion to make the back out seem legit. If they had just admitted that they did this because Hendrickson was still available at a much cheaper deal than they expected, there would still be nothing the Raiders or the league could do about it. It's just a gentlemen's agreement until the league year starts. Unfortunately, we're not dealing with gentlemen.Willmark wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 6:44 pm No, we won't but the NFL is going to be in an interesting position. Anytime a team gets cold feet? Suddenly the doctors to the rescue.
The NFL is fooling themselves if they think this is the last time it happens. If nothing happens? Any team can point to the Ravens as getting a pass. Will this happen? Who knows but its not like its not within the realm of possibilities.

I would’ve rather they just told us to go f[raiders_icon]ck ourselves and said nothing else. Maybe I missed it, but it seems like Maxx’s knee was a non-issue until the ravens medical f[raiders_icon]cks made it one. Hell, wasn’t it such a non-issue that people thought he should’ve played the last couple games? Wasn’t this considered a fairly routine surgery up until 3 days ago?raider fan dan wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:00 pm The whole doctor thing is just an illusion to make the back out seem legit. If we got Tee and number 10 I’d consider that a better trade than the Ravens deal. At 10 there’s a scenario where Bain drops just far enough for us to make a 2-3 spot jump.

Who negotiated the acquisition of Linderbaum? Will he be the only FA the Ravens ever have? If the Bengals and Cowboys are actually interested in trading for Maxx and the compensation is close, who do you think Spy chooses?
If Spy is good, and this offseason he certainly looks promising, he’s got a minimum 5 years to always make moves that benefit the Raiders, and if there’s anyway in which the transaction has the bonus of kicking the Raven’s balls, all the better.
There’s not a moment of any future negotiations with GM’s or Agents or friend’s in the industry that Spy won’t be sure to refresh the memory of how the Ravens operate. He will shit on that organization for making him look bad, undeservedly, for the rest of his career. If he didn’t have any hate in his heart for a football team, he does now.
Not to even mention how Brady feels about it. Looking forward to him calling a Raven game.

Tom won’t forget this. He seems like someone who can hold a grudge forever. I’m sure one day we will f[raiders_icon]ck them somehow.

Pick 10 gets you close to the top defensive guys area and possible a tackle/guard like Fano.LayneStaley wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:29 pm If we got Tee and number 10 I’d consider that a better trade than the Ravens deal. Again, all this is just hate, anger, not action. Will we sign a FA one day they wanted? Maybe. Doubt that's gonna send these jerks home crying.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:35 pm Who negotiated the acquisition of Linderbaum? Will he be the only FA the Ravens ever have? We need to take off and nuke the site from orbit.
It's the only way to be sure.

What would he get out of doing that? The loss of his professional reputation? The loss of athletes using him as their doctor? An investigation and possible sanctions by the TX State Board of Medical Examiners? Potentially a lawsuit by Crosby. Potentially a tortious interference lawsuit by the Raiders?Trainnvain wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 5:20 pm You mean Dr Cooper, the Dallas Cowboys team physician- the same team that was in the running for Crosby up until the very end? He certainly doesn't have any conflict of interest there and we all know doctors are certainly scrupulous and beyond reproach.

Baseball has a "in the best interests of baseball" clause that gives their commissioner wide latitude. Does football not have anything like this?
