Im not disagreeing...he has made some horrible throws. However I also think we have been very stagnant and predictable on offense....which has been amplified by not having some critical playmakers.
I agree but I would argue some off that is on our QB as well...When Carr is under center=pretty much run almost all the time...
kill,kill at the line=Run 100%
Not predictable but absolutely hate running out of the gun which is what our QB seems to want to do......I think he was under center more today than in previous games though.
Last year the offense remained top 10ish in scoring all year.....the defense went from bad to really bad....giving up an average of 30 points a game. This year the offense has dropped off and the defense is playing better.
Offense struggled down the stretch last season as well iirc.

I don't care how many TD, fumbles, and interceptions Derek Carr gets as long as the team wins. I am a Raider fan, not a Carr hater. No excuses, Raider won!
You're right it's Carr's fault Mariota fumbled a first down. And we decided to run it on first and second down and having a 3rd and 12. Thats Carr's fault too
It's all Carr's fault that Leatherwood has 1-2 false starts every game. Because he's the QB, he can control everyone else too. That's how it works right?

I guess it's his "lack of leadership" to blame for Leatherwood jumping, Parker missing blocks, and Simpson getting at least 1 holding penalty a game. Also his fault for the defense allowing the TD before the half.
If only we had Tom Brady to coach up the O-line, and call the plays on defense too..... like he does with Tampa Bay right?
Offense struggled down the stretch last season as well iirc.
I did a breakdown of the first half of the year vs the last half of the year. The offensive scoring was within a point a game average. The defense gave up 3 points more a game on average the second half.
I think points per game is a better metric than qb passing td's. I dont care if we run it in or throw a td. We ended up the season as a top 10 in offensive scoring. We ended the year with the 30th ranked defense in scores allowed. Of course there are a lot of nuances involved...but the bottom line is that the defense was allowing 30 points a game.....I dont know of any successful team where the defense gave up that many points.
The defense has shaved 5 points a game off that average...and the last 3 games have played really well. As for the offense....these last 3 games we have played some very stingy defenses...and given the loss of Gruden, Ruggs, and Waller....even hanging in the games is pretty impressive.

We are very predictable. I want more playaction. A lot of that is on the game planning imo.

We let Heinecke march downfield to win the game... we almost let Drew Lock march downfield to win the game.
We need another pass rusher desperately, seems like Crosby and Yannick can't hang until the 4th quarter when they are gassed...

Anyway I 100% agree the playcalling is not going to wow anyone...I think they have dumbed it down lately and try to run what plays seem to work best...Especially with no Waller,Ruggs,etc...Jackson being brought in mid season.
Olsen has never been a great OC imo,I'm shocked we are finding ways to win with this sub par coaching staff.

Win or lose, please Mayock make the right call and trade him away. Time for a fresh start for all of us. Let him go prove it on another team. We need to reset this team and let's hope his days in silver and black will end January 2022.

He might be a good one.

Another two interceptions.
3 and 0 now with our QB throwing 4 interceptions and fumbling twice. The team is carrying him.
Carr is terrible in games that matter. Dalton 100%.

Plus I don't think he's going to age well like other QB's. You can't pay him 35M in 2023. I can see where the Raiders keep him in 2022 because the contract isnt horrible & draft a QB...
Will Mark Davis let Mayock trade him?....
21TD's 14int's and 12 fumbles arent going to cut it in today's NFL....
