I hope this is true. Starting to like Simpson more n more.rcraider wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 4:51 am Well according to Hondo, if you buy any of his takes, the Raiders are very interested in Mendoza, and also Ty Simpson
This worries me as I like Mendoza (haven’t seen enough Simpson) and Hondo is seemingly absolutely wrong about everythingrcraider wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 4:51 am Well according to Hondo, if you buy any of his takes, the Raiders are very interested in Mendoza, and also Ty Simpson
I do as well. He is an impressive kid. Plus Alabama QB's have done well for the RaidersBoKnows81 wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 6:29 am I hope this is true. Starting to like Simpson more n more.
Snake?
I dont think this is a case of being wrong but of stating the obvious. Raiders need a qb and mendoza and simpson are mocked as the top two right now.Raidernation1979 wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 6:40 am This worries me as I like Mendoza (haven’t seen enough Simpson) and Hondo is seemingly absolutely wrong about everything
I saw Stabler at an autograph session years ago. He was standing in a group of people and I got pretty close. Stunning how big he was in person, honestly. Guess they don’t look as big on tv standing next to guys that are protecting him.ToastPatterson wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:40 am I do as well. He is an impressive kid. What school a QB attends has little to no impact on whether a QB will be good in the NFL. All it does its give more or less exposure. I'm not even sure that is true in today's age of social media.RI RAIDER wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 1:21 pm I can give a rats ass about the schools that we drafted from and whether we had success or failures (Ivory Snow 99% failure rate). If we kept to that script and only focused on successes, we would only be drafting from a handful of schools.
Agreed, and we all know all the misses very well. Two number one overall picks from LSU, one went to the super bowl, the other spends his time smoking a bowl.Willmark wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 1:45 pm What school a QB attends has little to no impact on whether a QB will be good in the NFL. Lets use what we are discussing: Snake Great NFL QB, McCarron middling at best NFL QB, Jake Coker didn't even make it in the NFL.
This is true of any college program.
Can you imagine how much better shape we would be in today had we just drafted the consensus best pick in our slots over the years?Attyla wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 2:28 pm Agreed, and we all know all the misses very well. Wait, are you saying Megatron would have been better than Purple Drank ?Ocoordinator wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 3:27 pm Can you imagine how much better shape we would be in today had we just drafted the consensus best pick in our slots over the years?
But no, we had to try and outsmart everyone else.
I've said many times that this forum's consensus would've done a better job at drafting than the team has. All the time, money, and effort that goes into evaluating prospects by this organization and yet the shite it comes up with is... hell, I can't even begin to type the list of adjectives that could be used to describe how pathetic it is.Ocoordinator wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 3:27 pm Can you imagine how much better shape we would be in today had we just drafted the consensus best pick in our slots over the years?

Good ole Hondo, have to admire his stupidity for naming the top quarterbacks in the draft & that the Raiders may or may not draft them. About as good as JT the Richard’s takesrcraider wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 4:51 am Well according to Hondo, if you buy any of his takes, the Raiders are very interested in Mendoza, and also Ty Simpson
