The sad thing about that game is we barely won against their 3rd string scrubs & if I remember correctly Carlson had to kick a 60 yard FG with no time left to win it...meanwhile Fat Andy laughed all the way home lol

i dont have a problem with lively debate especially when it comes to the raiders whom have stunk for over 20 yrs

Nice to watch, but I’ve noticed something. I mean, nobody else deserves the slogans synonymous with Big Al’s Raiders, but they don’t ring quite as true anymore. We need to win to earn them back. I’m tired of the cringe when I see them now.

“Commitment to Excellence”. No. It’s been 24 years since we hung a “W” in a playoff game.

“Just Win, Baby”. Not too much. Last consecutive winning seasons was 2001 and 2002.

“Pride and Poise” . Nope. Only thing that’s held firm in the “Pride” department is the Team Name, Team Colors, and Team Emblem. “Poise”, not even remotely.

“Once a Raider, Always a Raider”. Decades of bad drafting has a major impact on this one. Hell, it’s more a threat of embarrassment for Raider Nation.

“Team of the Decades”. Ah man, smh. This one should just be mothballed until further notice. Maybe I’ll be alive when we could use it again.

”The greatness of the Raiders is in its future”. Big Al began saying this in the early 80’s, somewhere after Super Bowl XV (1980), but before our domination in Super Bowl XVIII (1984). Since that Super Bowl our record is 289-349.

”We would rather be feared than respected”. “The fire that burns brightest in the Raiders organization is the will to win”. Nope.

Hoping Mendo/Spytek/Kubiak/Brady can fix this shit while bridging us from ”The Era of Incompetence” to a non-Davis run Raiders organization. We’re right at the precipice. For the Love of Raider Nation and Football, let it be so.
