I was listening to a podcast today (not a Raider one) and they were talking about Kubiak and the Shanahan / Kubiak tree. They said every coach wanted the Gary Kubiak job near the end of his career...... where he got paid a pile of money to sit at home and watch film and come up with ideas and then the team actually listened to him because he was still that sharp.

It's Kubiak or bust now. I understand Webb's reluctance to wait this out as he probably figures it isn't gonna happen for him and it's better to move on with an OC job now rather than publicly sit another week and a half as second choice.

Everyone damn well know Sean Payton got in Webb's ear about the Raiders. Then he doubled down when he fired Lombardi.

Well Payton fireing his OC got him to keep Webb. Kubiak better want the job.
