Yeah, you're probably right...I just had this sudden thought that maybe while checking his range of motion from his knee surgery make he faked a grimace or fake hollered in pain or something.Attyla wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 9:48 am The physical is really hard to fake. It is not like they would have him running or such given how recent the surgery was. It likely was more scans and such.
...I gotta quit imagining stuff and stick with facts...you know, kinda like that me and Jessica Alba tonight thingy.

Haha I thought the same.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 9:05 am Something just crossed my mind and before anyone loses their cabbage, it's just a random thought/possibility.
What if, Maxx decided himself that Baltimore is not where he cared to go, and purposely dogged it at the physical?
20⁰ weather leaving a state of art facility. His home in LV. His family.
And maybe he finally sees what the Raiders are doing and likes it. What direction the Raiders are taking with a stable coaching staff.
Probably rolled in in a wheel chair. Lol
Limping around. Flopping himself onto the exam table.
Ouch my knee. Don't touch my knee

naw, this was all on the ravens...max was set to play and play well for em...raiders need to sit down with him and work something out cause his trade value was affected by this bs by the ravens...give the guy some guaranteed money and reduce his base and let him wreck havok 2026

See this makes no sense to me, why would you allocate all of your cap to other players before there is ink on a contract? If they operated under the assumption that there was no way that the trade could fall through, then that is a large error from the front office.Sold My Soul wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:03 am Although the Raiders have the right to restructure Crosby’s 2026 compensation to reduce the cap hit for 2026, the money will be paid from a predetermined cash budget. That’s a problem for the Raiders. It’s one of the reasons why last night’s tweet oozed with animosity for the Ravens. We’re told that, as of last night, the Raiders were working hard to figure out what to do next. If they will indeed be keeping Crosby, they’ll need to shake Mark Davis’s couch cushions for another $30 million that they didn’t expect to spend this year.

I could see it being premeditated not to screw us over but to insure they had one of the top edges going to Baltimore either way. Locking up the trade rights to Maxx effectively allowed them to slow play Hendrickson as it became apparent he didn’t have a great market. If Hendrickson got a big deal day 1… I’m sure Maxx passes his physical16 to 88 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 9:34 am Welcome to the club. Who can blame you??? Pretty much the entire forum is right there with you along my Raider friends, we are all in the same boat. Only a complete and total cold fish wouldn’t be aggravated at what transpired.
My phone is ringing off the hook. Handful of guys I know who are fans of other teams are shaking their heads at the ravens. NFL public as a whole as well. They totally goofed us up and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was premeditated.
Even if it wasn’t and they got cold feet that is bad as well. Neither way is good. They’d be pissed if the shoe was on the other foot. But it’s OK for them to mess up other teams. Third time around now for them.

Should be a trade window that opens and closes before fa and then reopens after a week of fa.
Between, trades are at your own risk.

from Crosby's doctor...
“Maxx Crosby is doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program … he feels very well and is already much improved compared to before surgery.
“We truly respect the work of the Ravens staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process. This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear.
“At this point, Maxx is doing an excellent job attacking his rehab and his knee is responding very well. We look forward to Maxx returning to his elite level of performance this season as planned and for several more to come.”

This is the 100% correct stance to take, Crosby has all the motivation to come back stronger than ever which will only enhance his trade value should the Raiders decide to trade him.

i dont think this is gonna be a problem the raiders are obligated to spend a certain amount regardless (cap) even with max we are still ok vs cap and have the rookie pool covered...give max more guaranteed money and reduce his final yrs base salaries to cheap, raider create cap for this yr and next yr...if its determined that max and raiders cant repair it then let him play for us until the trade deadline and then trade him off for multiple picks next yrSold My Soul wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:03 am Although the Raiders have the right to restructure Crosby’s 2026 compensation to reduce the cap hit for 2026, the money will be paid from a predetermined cash budget. Guys, again, it was only just a sudden thought that popped into my head...but seriously though, none of us really knows everything about what went on with Maxx and Baltimore.

i think the fanbase got to ownership, so when hendrickson was still available they found a way out of the dealraiders93 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:23 am I could see it being premeditated not to screw us over but to insure they had one of the top edges going to Baltimore either way. I think we know for sure, the Ravens balked and then immediately signed another DE for the same exact contract that Maxx would have, while keeping their first round picks.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:27 am Guys, again, it was only just a sudden thought that popped into my head...but seriously though, none of us really knows everything about what went on with Maxx and Baltimore.

we could put more guaranteed money on the table for max and reduce his base pay for the yr to add more room, we could also restructure others deals too if cap was an issueSold My Soul wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 10:13 am Agreed. They will still have about 36M of cap space available.

When you factor in the acquisition cost, Ravens were effectively paying Crosby 50 million/year. I was also surprised they didnt scour FA first.RI RAIDER wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2026 7:04 am I am not arguing that Max is better long term because of his age. I think the Ravens are better served getting the consolation prize (not a huge difference between the 2) for the same money while keeping their picks. Their picks are worth a ton and I was surprised they were willing to make that move in the first place.
