If McDaniels continues to lose with Garoppolo he may not last the season. AO4 would give him an excuse and we don't know how much he would grow game to game.

Dorsey will be interesting to follow. I’ve watched him since HS as he and I went to same one although he was years after me.
The guy needs lockdown corners and star safeties to run his cover 0 style defense.
If we fire McDaniels and keep Ziegler, the pick is going to be Flores. I don't think that anyone else is left from the Patriots tree (Mayo will take over for Bill) and I don't have any confidence in this regime to go elsewhere with it.
I'm hesitant to bring up "reading comprehension."
I said I want that TYPE of coach as long as they're able to assemble a competent staff. I even listed his name after the other two because he never really was a head coach.
For the record, I don't want Bisaccia back. I just want someone with the character and leadership qualities of guys like Saleh, Campbell, and Bisaccia. Someone the guys will bleed for.
Not looking for trouble at all, just don't want my posts being misrepresented. Your comment has validity, but also has almost nothing to do with what I wrote.
What on earth makes you think he was this great leader?

The ball isn't in my court.
I'm not going to speak for the original poster on this comment but to me (and I'm not clamoring to bring him back at all) the players seemed to truly love the guy. He seemed to show up prepared to all of the press conferences, had notes and took notes as opposed to the same bull shit over and over again plus the 5,000 "ya know"s that we all get to hear. There was zero question that the players gave their absolute all for that dude. We didn't have anywhere near the talent level that these other teams had and we still got to the playoffs. And tbh, had our QB not thrown to Zay Jones in triple coverage and gave Waller a shot 1 on 1 with Vonn Bell, we may have been able to eliminate the team that wound up repping the AFC in the SB that year.
I know it sounds like I'm living in the past but, the dude seemed to be a great leader, but I'm just a fat ass watching the games at home. My guess is that he wanted to bring back the entire coaching staff, which wouldn't have worked and Davis wanted the splash signing that he wound up getting. Had Bissaccia wanted a young innovative coaching staff under his leadership (which he wouldn't want and won't want), I'd be more than happy with that, but again, wtf do I know.

I want a coach that you can tell he's pissed when we lose. Not Jim Mora pissed but able to answer questions maturely but still you can tell the guys pissed. McDaniels just looks and sounds defeated. I'm just a fan and I pick up on this. The players must too and they've got to be thinking to themselves "this is our leader"?

So let's say our defense continues to improve and is one of the top D's by the end of the season.
Is Patrick Graham a possibility?
He was being talked about as HC material prior to coming here.
He seems like a guy that players want to play for and he's had two years of seeing exactly what not to do as a head coach. He'd just have to find a good OC and there's lots of those around.

How about Frank Smith from Miami? He was TE coach under Gruden, now OC under McDaniel. He could be a playcaller oc with Graham being HC. I do really like a Miami offense.

Another reason i’ve been saying Flores is his close relationship with Graham, who is doing an great job right now
If you want to keep the D rolling then switching DC’s do nothing for us but by bringing in Flores you more than likely keep Graham to keeping a semblance of familiarity on one side of the ball
By bring in an OC to take full control the offence you can allow them to completely overhaul things in there style
We have some good pieces on on offence for any new OC to work & build with

A few weeks ago Graham was a circus clown. The worst DC in football. Now he is HC material? This board is bipolar. I think he is decent and has done a good job with what he has. Let's see how this all plays out for a few weeks.

Let's see what he does against a good team.

The defense this week was fools gold. They will go back to full clown show pretty soon.
