If Baltimore gets away with this.....it could be the beginning of the end for the NFL.......it's not right

It’s so hard to prove that they’ve done anything wrong. All they need is their doctor(s) to give them cover.Xramfan wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:02 pm If Baltimore gets away with this.....it could be the beginning of the end for the NFL.......it's not right

Yes. They had a deal in place and reneged on that deal and this is the second time they have done so.Xramfan wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:02 pm If Baltimore gets away with this.....it could be the beginning of the end for the NFL.......it's not right

Dude the whole point of this is the fact that they just blatantly backed out. They likely realize they have 7-8 really good players and the rest of the roster is shit. They got kicked in the balls yesterday losing a bunch of guys. They backed out of the deal. Guaranteed it has absolutely nothing to do with the state of Maxx's knee. Let's be realSkullCrusher wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:48 pm Yeah tying to picture this, it's not begging. It would have to be like Owner/GM/Doctors from both teams on a video call and have the Baltimore Dr's state what they see and their concern and if the Raiders were to think "ok maybe that is a bit worse than we thought" then you deal one of the picks down a round.

Raiders doctors can say he's good to go and they are liars? Second time this has happened with them.Jeevo wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:04 pm It’s so hard to prove that they’ve done anything wrong. All they need is their doctor(s) to give them cover.

Why dont they have to do the physicals before they can announce a deal?

I agree and think they’re just backing out because of the reasons everyone has listed. But as I understand it the burden on them is very weak, they can say almost anything and get out of it. It’s not ethical, and we should definitely be looking to f[raiders_icon]ck them baxk somehow.16 to 88 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:05 pm Raiders doctors can say he's good to go and they are liars? From my understanding the physical isn’t a pass or fail - just a medical opinion management factors into their decision to proceed or not.16 to 88 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:05 pm Raiders doctors can say he's good to go and they are liars? Second time this has happened with them.
31 other team doctors could say it’s fine… and Baltimore could still say “ours weren’t comfortable” and I think that’s pretty much case closed.

The NFL just can’t stomach a Raiders turn around is coming. Ravens has done this crap before. This is a classic case of picking on a weak ownership. Raiders just like the Lakers pre Mark Walter, is a mom and pop shop, mark davis has no pull in the owner’s fraternity. Tom Brady is just a minority owner, he won’t matter much other than crying in the press, which he won’t even do because of his gig with Fox Sports. This is the time I wish Al Davis is still alive, he’d take both Ravens and the league to court. Part of me thinks this was raven revenging the raiders overpaid for Linderbaum.

I'm not arguing that isn't the case, just doing a what-if. If say it was above board, it would take those people to be on a video conference call to hash that out. Do I expect that? No.Goodtimes333 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:04 pm Dude the whole point of this is the fact that they just blatantly backed out. Yup, it’s almost comical, but that’s the way it is.raiders93 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:11 pm From my understanding the physical isn’t a pass or fail - just a medical opinion management factors into their decision to proceed or not.

That takes the potential drama out of it.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:08 pm Why dont they have to do the physicals before they can announce a deal?

Thing is, this is now twice they have pulled this stunt. League should get involved and penalize them. If they don't they will just do it again. Which, is what just transpired...raiders93 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 8:11 pm From my understanding the physical isn’t a pass or fail - just a medical opinion management factors into their decision to proceed or not.
