Yep. It's another lost season and there's little sense that this thing is about to get turned around. I guess if we won out, then it would indicate we might have something for next year, but that's not going to happen so let Geno finish out the season and ensure us a top 3 pick.
I don't like seeing this team be so f'ing terrible, but we need something dramatic to happen to help turn things around.

A QB shouldn't need permission to audible at the line. Gannon and Gruden used to get into yelling matches on the sidelines because of things like that, but Gannon was the one on the field and reading the defense. That was a good thing. The other end of that spectrum was Josh McDaniels and Carr.
Carr was good at pre snap reading and not a lot else, but McDoofus restricted Carr's ability to do what he did best, which didn't go well. The problem with Carr was that he was too much of wuss to defy his HC. An experienced QB needs to have a pair and stand his ground.

I dont care if we bring in Kyler, Justin Fields or bring Minshew back. Whoever it needs needs to be a fill in until our 1st round pick is ready. Im so sick of retread after retread. Take a swing for a qb finally. And if he fails try again and again and again. Once you get a bonafide top 10 qb you can at least compete and have a chance year after year.

Sick of retreads but you suggest 2 TERRIBLE retreads and 1 dogshit QB? I don't think i could think of anything worse than having to watch any of those 3 mutts play QB for this team, even short term. And that's saying something when we actually have a living garbage can playing QB for us at the moment. If we take a QB in Round 1, he will be starting Week 1. Give me a rook QB that isn't ready yet over those 3 Home Depot workers any day of the week.DanKD wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 8:57 am I dont care if we bring in Kyler, Justin Fields or bring Minshew back. People say don’t bring in a QB until you fix the O-Line, and I wholeheartedly agree you need a strong line…DanKD wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 8:57 am I dont care if we bring in Kyler, Justin Fields or bring Minshew back. But the difference is: a promising young QB will attract promising young coaching talent — something the Raiders are in dire need of — and that only really happens when you send the message you’re building for success, not just plugging holes.

You completely missed the point of my post. The point is draft a QB early and take a shot.BoKnows81 wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 9:14 am Sick of retreads but you suggest 2 TERRIBLE retreads and 1 dogshit QB? Ok and I dont disagree with that. But what point did I miss? You said you were sick of retreads but suggested two retreads and another garbage pail QB. Why not just leave the post at we need to take an early shot on a QB?DanKD wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 1:40 pm You completely missed the point of my post. The point is draft a QB early and take a shot.

Correct,
Until we solve the QB issue nothing else the team does matters.
How do we solve it? By drafting one.

Because maybe we draft a qb who isn't ready to start year oneBoKnows81 wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 2:14 pm Ok and I dont disagree with that. But what point did I miss? I dunno. Typically a veteran presence is good for a young QB but I am not sure what kind of mentor or locker room guy he [Geno] would be as a backup QB.HesterLayes wrote: Fri Nov 21, 2025 6:05 pm Draft someone like Simpson and keep Genos expensive ass as a backup…
George Blanda was instrumental with Stabler's progression as a young QB. Snake wore 16 in New Orleans as a tribute to Blanda. Carson Palmer took Terrelle Pryor under his wing on his way out but those types of relationships do not get a lot of attention.
Controversies and dramatics fuel today's media.
