My issue is with the fans that think the issue is Carr, and when Carr is traded the Raiders are a playoff team. Or to think that if we draft a QB all the ills of this franchise are fixed and glory is right around the corner.

This is a dysfunctional franchise no better than the Lions, Jets, Browns. Those have been the worst franchises of the past 20 years and to be blunt. The Raiders have been the worst. As hard as it is to admit being fans of this franchise, it's the truth. Firing coaches and drafting QB's in the first round doesn't fix anything.

If you look at most of the QB's that are successful or have been successful they were drafted into stable organizations. If were a QB in college and had first round potentional, I would sit out rather then play for a terrible organization like the Raiders or the Jets. Eli Manning did it, Elway did it and had successful careers. If Elway were drafted by the colts in the 80's he may have been out of the league in 4 years. It matters where you get drafted. Some QB don't have a chance to succeed. Some don't have the talent. Some have the talent and were drafted into terrible situations and had short careers. If a better team drafted them, maybe they could have been great too.
In your opinion Carr bears no blame then for what has transpired the last 8 years?

8 years ago if the Patriots would have drafted Carr. And Brady had a career ending injury. And Carr took over that team. Do fans really think that Carr record would be 30-70 or whatever it is. DO you really think that Carr would not have made the playoffs every year. Or won at least 1 super bowl.
Carr wouldn't last more than a season in NE, Bellichek would have had zero patience with him, let along playing in cold weather.
If so, not a problem. Like I said, I have other teams in other sports that I follow and can enjoy a good NFL game, even if the Raiders are not playing. It merely means an end of having to suffer through the ongoing dysfunction.

P.S. I would miss this forum a hell of lot more than watching Carr fold like a cheap shirt as soon as other teams begin to make their push for the playoffs. But yes, would miss this forum.
DO you really think Carr folded up the past 5 weeks. The defense has given up 171 points the past 5 weeks. How can you win and make the playoffs giving up 171 points in that time frame. The Patriots over 14 games have given up 227 points. Not counting last night. The Patriots have went 5-0 the previous 5 weeks, 36 points.

The dolphins started the year 0-5. The past 5 weeks the defense has given up 55 points and they went 5-0.

Carr has faltered in every big game ever going back to college against usc. Any playoff atmosphere game such as for the 1 seed or division lead he’s played individually horrible!

Playoff atmosphere for who? When you give up 48 points and get blown out of the water it isn't the QB

They blame the NFL itself, they blame Mark, they blame the GM, they blame the HC, they blame the OC, they blame Def. C, they blame the OL, they blame the WRs, they blame RBs, they blame the D, they blame the union, they blame god, they blame the weather, they blame the other teams in the NFL, they blame the media, they blame NFL rules, they blame the refs, they blame Roger G, they blame people on this forum, they blame Raider fans in general, they blame people on the internet, they blame the coin, they blame past Raider GMs, they blame injuries, they blame the crowd at the stadium, they blame Andy Reid, they blame the universe itself. BUT it is never Carr's fault. Never!

Carson Wentz went 5 - 12 - 57 passing yards with 1 TD and 1 INT and 8 rushes for 17 yards vs. the Patriots and won the game by 10 points.

When has Carr won a game throwing for less than 100 yards???

Playing for the division lead or playoff seeding in December would be playoff atmosphere. One right off hand was 2016 against KC. Defense played well. Gave the offense the ball inside the opponents 40 twice and we did nothing with it. 13 total offensive points. In our losses this year we average 13 points offensively. That is the QBs fault. Directly

Either they point to a game where a bad QB has a bad game but still manage a win,
Or they point to a really bad game by a very good QB
but mistake it not, they always point to a game where another QB is sucking wind for whatever reason.

Is it too much to ask to want a QB who we can compare with the best QBs having a good game?

I mean why must we always point to QBs having a shit game?

P.S. I have always found these types of comparisons telling. If you are always pointing to other QBs shitting the bed to excuse your own QB, maybe there is something wrong. Just saying...

It doesn't matter who the QB is, this is not a winning organization and no Qb can set into this shit show and succeed.\

I have my issues with Carr. The biggest issue I have is he isn't hard enough on teammates or hold them accountable. He wants to be liked and being liked doesn't win games. He tends to freeze out receivers that don't run the correct routes. Which is understable, you need a player to be in a spot and when he isn't you don't look at him again because you can't depend on him. Instead of getting in his face and being a leader. He takes the blame himself. And the player that he freezes out doesn't learn and continues to make the same mistakes week in and week out.

Carr is a loser.

Every QB is going to have bad games, when Carr has a bad game, the Raiders can't win.

Fact is Carr does not make those around him better and what is worse, when games matter more and the going gets tough, he always folds like a cheap shirt.
