No argument here, the reasons I liked the trade was he didn’t want to be here, great draft capital, huge cap savings, and this is probably the last year we would be able to pull something like this off.16 to 88 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:39 pm In one game against the rams with Mayfield playing QB the RT couldn't stop him for nothing. He was held over and over and over again in that game and they just let the RT hold without calling obvious penalties on every play. Somebody suggested that "Maxx had reached his quota for the game and that they aren't going to continue to call holds on the RT". Quote unquote.
One of the most bizarre statements I have ever heard. I have seen him literally mugged in so many games it's as criminal as that ridiculous statement. How do you account for those missed sacks because of constant mugging?!! The only reason I was for trading him was where we are at as a team, his age and the amount of snaps he was, unfortunately, allowed to play by weak coaches.

I didnt know begging would be involved. If there is any truth to a deal still being possible, there are only 2 ways. Bal pays less or They pay the same in exchange for us giving them something else.RickRyb wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:40 pm Are you suggesting The Raiders beg Baltimore to go through with the deal and kick in more Raiders assets to convince Baltimore?

Not really. He's under contract and is a member of the Las Vegas Raiders. For how long or is it permanent is still unanswered.

He should release the same one with terrible dubbing of his voice saying the new team’s name and city instead of the Ravens.Viper wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:44 pm Gonna be awkward as hell if Maxx gets traded still and does another farewell video. Can’t make this shit up.

Yeah exactly what I was pointing out. Certainly I want us to be playing center for us I'm just tossing around stuff...raiders93 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:41 pm Yes we can very much still afford linderbaum. We still have 37 in cap space even assuming we kept Maxx. The likely contracts we’d opt out of (if any) would be one of the two edges.
Baltimore had a long time to negotiate with Linderbaum. They declined his 5th year option. They opted not to tag him. And allegedly their best offer was 88m over 4, compared to 81 over 3. They’re right against the cap as is. All this to say… that had more than enough opportunities to retain him if they were willing to pay.

No thx, I don’t want the FO to look weak. Brady would smash his own balls before he agreed to take less from them after this.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:45 pm I didnt know begging would be involved. Yeah tying to picture this, it's not begging. It would have to be like Owner/GM/Doctors from both teams on a video call and have the Baltimore Dr's state what they see and their concern and if the Raiders were to think "ok maybe that is a bit worse than we thought" then you deal one of the picks down a round.Cruisin with Tooz wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 7:45 pm I didnt know begging would be involved. Am I crazy to think maybe this could be a blessing? Sure, it stinks to lose the value of two extra first round picks, but we and many other teams have a history of swinging and missing on picks. Crosby is a known great player, even if he's a bit overrated by our fan base. From what I've read, we have the cap space to keep Crosby in the fold. He'll play hard no matter what. Sure, we have other glaring needs, but maybe this will make for great make up sex between Crosby and the Raiders?
