It figures. Im in that 1 patch of blue in the sea of red. I swear they show the chiefs every freakin week here! So of course this week they buck the trend.

Didn't go through the entire thread but two things come to mind...

1.) We have to run the ball and stop the run which we need to do every week. We can only afford option "B" (passing) for them and shut down option "A" which is the run. If they can't run and are forced to pass all day and beat you, you tip your hat to them. If you allow them to run, then option "B" isn't as necessary and for them and when it is it becomes that much easier. Mahomes is not 100% and they don't want our pass rush on top of him or making him scramble.

2.) Who will fill the stands? This game will tell us a lot about our own fans. Are they interested in turning a profit or going to the game and stopping chiefs fans from filling up the stadium?

Sunday night game should be SF/Den. Whose brilliant idea was it to have Detroit at Carolina for the Sunday night game???

:loltears:

Was just watching the final quarter plus against the Saints. I think I saw the play that JPJ came up lame -- a groin pull. Yet, he played for almost a quarter with that injury. He was OK for a while then got beat badly on a play. Next time the Raiders had the ball, it was Rogers in at RG. So, we should definitely expect that for Sunday as opposed to say Zuhn replacing the injured guard.

NFL, please stop trying to shove this fake-ass dynasty down the throats of Americans.

I wouldn't have thought that but aside from a couple of seasons since the mid 1970's the two teams have followed divergent trends of success.

Other than two botched playoff games, this may be the most significant game this team has played since we died in the Super Bowl. Just be competitive guys, that is all I ask. Disciplined game, good play calling, no boneheaded moments. No f[raiders_icon]cking bus ride around the stadium, no ring around the rosy moments. Just some good, hard hitting football.

Don't want Bech to be injured (he showed potential when he played) but this gives Thorton another opportunity to be the X that we need.

We need to throw everything at the chiefs including things they won’t expect…. Cousins isn’t a runner we know that… should have a package for Mendoza with a couple of designed runs

Time to find his replacement. I like the guy but.... this is football..... if you can't play, you're useless.... and he's not able to play more often than not.

We're gonna need 2 new starting guards next year

Yeah. Ideally we find a relatively young one in FA and hopefully there'll be a good one in the draft. JPJ may be worth keeping on as depth, but homeboy just isn't built for the game.
