yea, not worth it. Waste of time debating that guy. It is like a joke that he tries so hard. Jeanty has been a disappointment running the ball comparable to his draft status. Anyone who argues otherwise has an agenda. He was 44th yards per carry last year. It was sad for me because I had convinced myself we got a good one. So far, that is not the case. We got a mid one.

That's ALL RB's, including backups who only got the ball a couple of times. Compare him to starters who've had similar starts and carries and it's a different number.

Since 1958, the average YPC of RB's are (4.0-4.4). Your notion that 4 isn't high enough is false.

Last year I thought he overachieved with the oline scheme we had so I was willing to give him a clean slate this year. Eye test only but he seemed to look much better the first game and I think game 2 but he certainly has gone downhill since. I think our running game (guards) are still very weak but Jeanty has zero pop the last two games for sure. His multiple dropped balls two weeks ago were painful to watch. Last sunday I could only listen on the radio but Linc and Horowitz indicated he was limping all over the place. Im still pulling for him but he certainly has things going against him as of late for sure.

Yeah, that must be the case because Kubiak is way too serious to not notice Jeantys drop off in production.

Average. You want to use a high draft pick on a RB and get way under average?

And no, the list of guys on that list above him averaged in the 160 touches and many of them were in the 230 range, genius.

Not that I didn’t like Crawford or Zuhn. I just like a few other prospects more. Maybe Zuhn can take over a guard slot soon &, solidify the line &, I won’t have to think of that
Those were the two I liked as well, plus De’Zhaun Stribling. I went poking around predraft guides and tried to look at them with eyes informed by what we’ve learned of Coach K.

Bell has that injury, but maybe the quickest check-off would be that he wasn’t considered strong as a run-blocker.

Hurst might just be too light to be considered a good run-blocker, but the few things I’ve read say he was willing. Seeing, a lot of small school/unproven bits, but I’d venture it was his size.

Stribling was probably on the board, but the 9’ers blew that up drafting him 33rd overall. Size/speed and a strong blocker. Was pegged to go between the 3rd-5th.

Remember watching tape of all of them, I liked Stribling the most. Having said that, none of them screamed WR #1. Each had strong #2 vibes. Nothing in the scouting references character in enough detail to know if they are Coach K guys. I think to get all that WR #1 size/speed/blocking AND also be a hard worker/fierce competitor PLUS humble, all the things Coach K seems to like, is going to require using a 1st.

I love Perkins game, but I know Coach wouldn’t invite that in. Dude fits like a glove until you get to what’s goin’ on in the head. Next draft is Charlie B, and I’m in lockstep with Attyla with how perfect the fit is. We keep playin’ the way we’re playing though and we’re gonna need to trade up.

Meaning an RB doesn't get better than 4 YPC on any given year. 4 YPC doesn't mean "average" it means the amalgamation of all RBs is around 4 per carry. Nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't mean an RB is expected to get more than 4 and if he doesn't, he sucks.

In fact, your friend stated on record that an RB who averaged 4 for his career was the G.O.A.T. So Jeanty having around 4 is fine based on that metric.

I looked it up. Jeanty was 23 out of 64 RB's that had 20+ carries for the 2025 season. Which places him above average. You cherry picking one stat then accusing me of cherry picking is irony on the highest level.

so you cherry picked a stat.....again. He was 44th among qualifying RBs. Again, wow way to just deny reality.

JIC…

“‘Stanning’ is not itself a psychological disorder. Psychologists usually explain intense fandom as parasocial attachment: one-sided emotional bonds with celebrities, influencers, or fictional characters who do not know the fan personally.

When it becomes unhealthy. The concern is not enthusiasm itself; it is when fandom becomes compulsive, dependent, or harmful. Warning signs include:
• Replacing real-life relationships or responsibilities with fandom activity
• Feeling severe distress when the celebrity is criticized, inactive, or involved with someone else
• Treating disagreement about the celebrity as a personal attack
• Harassing others, doxxing, or becoming hostile toward rival fans
• Feeling that one’s mood depends entirely on the celebrity’s actions or approval”

Yesterday the commentator said "hand off to Jeanty up the middle". I saw the handoff, but didn't see the number of the ball carrier. My first thought was "that was a bit too explosive of a run to be Jeanty". Turned out to be number 4 , and not number 2. Number 4's one and only carry of the day BTW.

I know, I know..."he's hurt!" Well, maybe he should be a bit less selfish and rest/ get healthy. Kubiak is trying everything he can to make him elite. Jeanty is not elite, at least at this point.

Where is the advice coming from on whether or not Jeanty should play? Seems as if Jeanty is the one making that decision. Training staff needs to make a much better and/or honest evaluation of this guy before throwing him on the track with one (maybe two) damaged wheels.

He needs to sit or be put on IR until that ankle heals properly. No point playing hurt if you aren’t helping the team win. Shouldn’t be his decision to make
