- I left Matt Ryan out because I said Mendoza I something like a poor man’s Matt Ryan, acknowledging Matt Ryan’s excellence

- 2 things can be right at once. Does our team not need a better coach, improved oline play, and help at the WR position?

- 3 Mendoza isn’t going to fix the problems above alone

- 4 look at how the bears and Texans changed their franchises after hauling picks.

It’s a legitimate option especially if you’re not entirely in love with a QB prospect.
We've hauled picks too before. Remember our three 1st rounders? I dont like to rehash the past but we blew 2 out of the 3 picks that year.

And the Bears fixed their O line in one season with their QB already in place. The Pats fixed their team in 1 season with their QB already in place. Nobody is saying we dont need WR or O line help. But QB is priority. You dont pass it up if you have the #1 pick and there is a legit potential franchise QB sitting there. The NFL is starved for good QB play. As for HC, we'll be getting a new one.

It’s a bummer that Texas Tech has not been able to put any points up it’s keeping us from seeing much from Moore. There have not been many crucial moments needed from him.

We are already a laughing stock to the rest of the NFL but we would be absolutely comedy central if we have the first pick and we don't pick Mendoza. Get your QB and work on the rest at the same time (as others have stated as well).

He has somewhat hurt his draft, I still think he goes top 5 but he is not playing like it today

Moore is still #2 pick. Not a great game but his potential is still there

Mendoza verifies or changes the narrative in the next half hour. I am hopeful that he balls but win or lose I am watching his footwork and his decision making today. Biggest game of his college career will tell us a lot.

I have watched 3 games from Moore and I just don’t see it. I’m not saying he won’t be good but I wouldn’t personally pick him high.

Oh I think so, the body of work does reflect significant potential.

Moore can be the #2 pick. Let's just hope we aren't picking at 2.

I hope Mendoza has a big game but I won't be surprised if he disappoints. It's clear college boys shouldn't have four weeks in between games.

Did Moore go under center today? All I saw was shotgun

maybe once or twice. I felt like they were focusing on the run game once TTU demonstrated they were not offensively in the game. Moore benefited from that because he did not have an outstanding game

For all intents and purposes I wouldn't take any of the two qbs at 1 or 2 but I understand that's the nature of the beast when it comes to qbs and the NFL draft. I think they're worth first round picks, I just don't see either worth a top overall pick. Though I would take Mendoza over Moore

But as long as this franchise doesn't do something totally retarded, it seems like we're finally gonna take a swing on qb

Same, I watched him vs Iowa, USC and today vs Tech.

He was good in one of those 3 games, not super impressed honestly. Comparing the numbers between Dillon Gabriel last year and Moore this year, Gabriel threw for substantially more yards, with less INT, and more TD. Gabriel also had 7 rushing TD to Moore's 2 TD.

There's probably something I'm missing with Moore, I don't claim to be the QB expert, but I don't really see what all the fuss is about.
