By NFL standards, if a defender is a three feet away the receiver is open. Even with the slowest NFL route running receivers ,a quality NFL Quarterback can throw that receiver open. Carr lacks vision, mental toughness that ties into situational football I.Q.

Shits sad after 8 years of service.
His ball placement is terrible. It’s always behind or high. That may be why catches never look easy. I understand some situations require those types of throws but it’s almost every one. You rarely ever see our guys not break stride to try and make a catch.

There's more than learning the playbook. Technique plays a huge part in that because if a player goes down that standard of ball placement is there if it's worked on even with your 7th receiver on the depth chart.

It's been a problem of his since he came into the league. He's 'generally' accurate in a vacuum. It's why Carr looks all pro in practice where he can't get hit. But when he has to move his feet, extend plays, or have an altered passing lane...the ball starts to go all over the place.

Favre was also known to practice those off-platform throws a lot - it doesn't help you win practice, just games.
Well this can’t be true. We’ve been told repeatedly our receivers can’t get open
They have to be pre designated open receivers for carr to get the ball to them.
Easy to not be conservative when you have a HOF WR and a coach that builds an offense around your talent. Carr is a product of his environment. I have a hard time imagining any non established QB coming in when Carr did and thriving under the same circumstances. There are so many glaring holes in this Org, I really don't think the QB, at last for next year, is one of the first things that need to be changed. Keep Carr, keep Mariota, get a coach that wants to spread the ball and attack downfield, and if Carr can't get with the program you bench him. Plenty of teams may be willing to look at Carr, but I'm still hesitant to trade for a QB that says he will retire if he isn't a Raider, and is at the end of his contract.
I think the Stafford draft pick comp is a reasonable benchmark for Carr. Maybe not quite as much, but close.
You can compare Carr to a couple guys in particular - Stafford and Dalton. I've always thought he was more Dalton than Stafford - a change of scenery doesn't work for everyone.
And sometimes it does….I’ve always thought Carr was more a Wentz comparison.
QB room drama is the last thing I want to see especially since Mariota is such trash. Dude might be good for a game or two if he stays healthy but after that....trash..
So many claims of Marcus being trash yet we still want to see Carr out there showing what he's given us the past month? I'm really tired of seeing the offense score under 18pts in consecutive weeks. Marcus looked pretty damn entertaining when he came in and played last season. We got to stop with the love for Carr, he's Andy Dalton or Colt McCoy.
Favre was also known to practice those off-platform throws a lot - it doesn't help you win practice, just games.
We've seen him do it in games this year. The bomb to Ruggs in the Pittsburgh game was f'ing awesome.

I think that's what the hardcore Carr supporters latch onto. Carr will make some eye popping throws and have some great games, and therefore, that's the QB Carr is.

The problem is that it's infrequent and inconsistent, which means that opposing D's can safely take the chance that he's not going to make those throws. Then they can blitz the shit out of him and more likely than not, Carr won't be able to make them pay.

Our O-line does blow, but Carr isn't going to make any plays to offset that suckiness.

Playoff games "won" at Kansas City in January.
Mariotta;1
Carr: Not even in the playoffs to make a trip to Kanas City to
actually lose one.

Let's be real here people.
if you thought this win was some display of talent by Mariota, well....you didn't watch it. Derrick Henry rushed fr over 150 yards against the worst run defense in the league and it still took something like 5 FGs to win.

to carr stans, why are you so defensive to carr

for some reason carr playing lights out in september

why carr playing like shit in nov and dec?

are you afraid thinking the raiders will go back to shithole quarterbacks in the past like walter, russell, gradkowski, etc...
