Fixed it for you.Oaktown Superman wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 7:48 am You’re allowing your hatred of Geno to affect your objectivity. I’m no Geno fan, but not every play is his fault. Brock Bowers was not the reason why they lost.
Proof? Brock Bowers broke records with trash throwing him the football last year. Yesterday was just another example. How Geno looked yesterday was a mirage. He's still awful.

So bowers would have had 300 yards receiving if a QB you liked, played yesterday instead of Geno
And you wonder why they call you a troll.

Pickett would perform the same as Geno if Bowers plays.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 7:50 am Fixed it for you.

They are interchangeable.

Says literally the only fool on this forum that has the audacity to still stick up for Geno Smith. I mean is Minshew any good? How bout O'Connell? No, and neither is Geno. Its hard not to see what the common denominator is. And you wonder why people laugh at you.NoClapsPlease wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:09 am Interesting logic

That’s not my point. My point is that YESTERDAY, the blame cannot be put on Geno. He actually did his job for a change. If they traded him today I’d be happy.BoKnows81 wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 7:50 am Fixed it for you.

Brock Bowers is one of the BEST in the league. His one hand grab and yards after catch hid the fact that we have crap at QB (who will not try to stretch the field). I know we have a porous OL and lousy play calling, but Geno does not do anything to keep a D honest (which especially hurts Jeanty) which enables them to stack the line. Now that BB is back, the opposition HAS to account for him 100% of the time (maybe via a double team). This hopefully will help Jeanty a little bit. The fact remains that we have nothing behind center. I was hopeful of the Papa/Geno connection. Holy f[raiders_icon]ck, was I wrong.

And....if you think I'm delusional bc YOU think your boy Geno Smith is a good QB that deserves to be defended, then I'll gladly be that.NoClapsPlease wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:32 am I’ll be a fool if serves as a clear delineation from your delusional takes.

The pattern of this defense is that it can't put together 2-3 good plays in a row, and they still suck on third down.NoClapsPlease wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 7:33 am Geno played a good game.
Your QB shouldn’t have to throw virtually 5 TDs just to win a game. This loss is on the defense who allowed 6 scoring drives in a row.
Spin it however you want. It never should have gotten to that point.
I think Graham can be a decent DC, but he's had our players in his system for years yet has little to show for it. At the end of the season it's time to get someone new. There's no excuse for what happened yesterday.

bottom third in points allowed per game, middle of the pack in yards allowed per game. Offensively though, we tend to play down to the competition. All three facets of the game are really struggling to find a grove.Opoponax50 wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:59 am The pattern of this defense is that it can't put together 2-3 good plays in a row, and they still suck on third down.

Graham has never had a full complement of talented players to work with as Raiders DC but at the same time you have to wonder if another DC can get more out of the talent and scheme better on 3rd down. I don’t think he’s a great or bad DC but this organization needs somebody really good at their job to walk through the door so I’m fine with trying to upgrade. I kind of feel the entire coaching staff has laid an egg this season as the team looks arguably worse than last season which is a bad look when you consider both Getsy and AP may never work those roles again in the NFL.

Many of you dig in your opinion and want to prove your right even when the evidence doesnt support it. Geno has been terrible this season but he played pretty well yesterday. Jags also had a beat up secondary and struggle in pass rush. I expect Geno to go back to his suckitude vs Denver.

I agree as far as the talent. I am not a fan of Graham. I remember everybody worrying if we were going to lose him because he was going to get a HC spotheavyD wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 9:43 am Graham has never had a full complement of talented players to work with as Raiders DC but at the same time you have to wonder if another DC can get more out of the talent and scheme better on 3rd down. Well to grahams credit, he runs multiple schemes with split safeties.Opoponax50 wrote: Mon Nov 03, 2025 8:59 am The pattern of this defense is that it can't put together 2-3 good plays in a row, and they still suck on third down.

This is PC’s antiquated cover 3 defense. Graham is handcuffed a bit.
