I didn't expect this but it's an upgrade at QB by a big margin. I don't care about age, he's likely going to play better than Darnold this season. The third rounder plus a new contract doesn't thrill me - I'm good with one of the other but not thrilled with both. But I'll wait and see what the terms end up looking like before freaking out. We still need to draft a QB.
For sure we will draft a QB. Depends on Genos contract whether it's a good deal. Glad we don't have Darnold and really don't think he really leaves Minnesota or was an option. All reports say the Raiders were not high on him
You act as if Joe Montanya was out there for us. How about we're more level headed than what you give us credit for? Notice no one is straight up rejoicing either. We're simply not shitting on it, why? Because he could just be a good QB for us for a period of time. We'll see. Plenty of time for you to be right and gloat for whatever forum points are worth currently on the market.

I'm not getting off my couch and making up a sign and hitting the streets tonight.

You act like I want forum points. I want to win. Geno Smith is not the answer for us no matter what anyone here says. Esp for what we gave up and will likely give him.
When you go around saying things like "you all know damn well" and other colorful words used as if we are coping and faking it. What does it matter? We know the situation for a QB wasn't ideal this round. Can I see a path of success for Geno as our QB? Yes if we block better and have better play calling and play design, yes I do. Now will that happen? TBD.
I would be shocked if we didn’t, I think we are taking one for sure but it might not happen till the 3rd. We will get day 1 starters at 6 and 37 and then go qb in the 3rd imo.
I'm fine withn that. Just draft a QB. At this point , I don't care who it is...... Milroe, Beck, Dart, Howard., Ewers..... just take one of them.
I'm not excited nor going to jump off a bridge. As good as any option in FA. If you love Fields go tell us how he does as a backup next seaon.
I don't love Fields. I think he's trash as a thrower. But I'd take him over Geno considering the compensation and money.

We gave up a luxury pick from a disloyal diva WR

Not the end of the world. I’m sure that played a factor.

Honestly a third rounder isn't that much. You can point to a ton of great third round picks, but can also point to more third round meh, or worse.

Geno averaged 4k yards the last 3 seasons with a dreadful O line. Fields is poop on any level. Not losing sleep over a 3rd round pick. I don't think Darnold leaves Minny without a contract. What is the alternative? I see Geno as a a solid bridge to the QB we will no doubt draft.

You guys can’t get behind a guy that everyone gave up on, called a bust, got one more chance from Pete and worked his ass off to be a top 15 QB in the NFL(according to PFF). No you guys don’t like those types of players? You’d rather just shit on him and pretend the shit we have no one else would even put on their practice squad is better? He’s a Raider, that used to mean something to Raider fans.
