It was a mixed bag with him. He could be capable of incredible throws and masterful play...and he could also be capable of taking the two-yard dumpoff on 3rd & 8, or throwing it away on 4th and Goal.

You just never knew who you were getting in any given week.

IIRC, our ground game was kicking the Chief's ass, but Carr was still bamboozled by Gruden's system 16 games into the season, and couldn't make anything happen.

That was when I gave up on him.

All the physical talent, none of the effort.

Every player at some point has to make business decisions, but it was a prominent part of his play-style.
