Groundhog Day!!! (Cue "I Got You Babe")
NFL Week 3's worst QB performances: Pair of NFC South QBs spoil incredible 2024 starts
Saints quarterback Derek Carr
The Saints faced their first dose of adversity this season in Week 3, and the same Carr who's struggled under pressure in the past showed up in a 15-12 loss to the Eagles.
Philadelphia did everything to hand the game to New Orleans on a silver platter, including Jalen Hurts committing two turnovers, multiple stupefying decisions from head coach Nick Sirianni and a blocked punt.
However, the Eagles bottled up the Saints' rushing attack, limiting them to 89 yards on 29 carries (3.1 yards per attempt). Philadelphia gave the league a formula to beat New Orleans. When opponents force Carr to beat them, they win.

If he returns to form, sometime in October early November he will start to play as he usually play. He starts out hot and then fades over the season.
And as we knew for nearly a decade, until the RZ he’s good. At the RZ? Well, we know how that usually turns out.

He is off to a much better start than expected and still averaging just over 200 yards a game. He is peaking at mediocre as expected
Derek Carr by the numbers...
Cap Number/Dead Money
2024 12.6/62.8
2025 51.4/50.1
2026 61.4/28.6
2027 Void
Yeah the Saints always seem to be in cap trouble and some of their fans think its "no big deal" but looking at those numbers? Ouch.

fuuuuuuuuck us.
He did that for us, put up 14 at the end of the fourth against soft D when we were down by 30 BFD .... the master of empty stats. If you miss him so much why are you here and not in gold and black?

There are a million ways to manipulate the cap and get what you need.
