The thread title has become disrespectful to Andy Dalton.
I would ask us to play Raider fan or Saints fan but this one would be both no matter what
Carr is capable to manage an offense.
What Carr lacks…
1. Doesn’t go through possessions - go through any film of any game - locks in to one receiver
2. Doesn’t know how to check off receiver, or move defender with eyes, and never uses fake pump to throw off defenders. Not in his DNA.
3. Slow release
4. No dual threat which eliminates a spotter… eliminates extended drives as well
5. Somewhat accurate but misses targets frequently
6. Can’t scramble
7. Lacks leadership
Can get you to a playoff with great surroundings. Could never get you to a SB.
I’m not a hater. I support him because he’s a Saint. Look forward to his release so we can contend for SB in future. Need new coach for that as well.

I just loved all the people that said it was the "Raiders" and not Carr, that he would be a perennial playoff contender on any other team.

But I am sure there will be those who will blame all the newness around him.

But I will say this: When the Saints make the Super Bowl this year, I will argue, successfully I might add that not only is Derek the MVP, I will make the case that there has never been a more valuable player.

And I said that without a smirk on my face even once. What say you David?

Here's a good one:

What NFL quarterback would congratulate the opponent after he scored a touchdown on a pick during the actual game?

What quarterback would deflect from answering a question about his turnover and throw his teammates under the bus ?saying Taysom’s fumbled but we’re going to stand behind him . Never answering the question about his own turnover.

What quarterback never takes responsibility on any negative play since he’s been in New Orleans?

Answer: Derek T Carr. The T stands for TRASH

Those boys in New Orleans catch on quick.

This shit is getting brutal
“we know the truth. some do, some don’t”
-michael thomas, on instagram
Guarantee: All Dialogue Reported Verbatim
“Hey, we DID get that first possession TD that one time in preseason. You know, the one before we decided that our starters wouldn’t need another series together again for a month.“
-Derrick P James
How good are the Saints have been at starting games?
New Orleans’ first offensive possessions for every game:
Week 1: FG
Week 2: Punt
Week 3: Punt
Week 4: FG
Week 5: Punt
Week 6: Missed FG
Week 7: Missed FG
Week 8: Punt
Week 9: Punt
Week 10: Punt
Week 12: Punt
Six points.
“Derek Carr has two starts this season for the Saints where the offense failed to score a touchdown. Both were against NFC South opponents. QB isn't the right guy. Head coach (20-44 record) is five losses away from becoming Blade Runner 2049.”
-Chris Rosvoglou
“Saints won't reach full potential until there's accountability taken
and assigned for how Derek Carr is playing.”
-Nick Underhill
Over last 2 seasons, he ranks 36th of 36 qualifying QBs
in both passer rating and completion percentage inside the 12.
This season, Derek Carr is 5-of-25 inside the 12-yard line.
“I had the best QB a gal could ask for in Drew Brees. So I wonder if I'm judging Derek Carr too harshly. But I don't think so. I don't want Carr to be Drew, but I want Carr to be a leader. After plays, I watch him glare at WR, OL. A leader leads. He doesn't look around to blame.”
-Katherine Fugate
Drew Brees spoiled us rotten with his pump fakes and alertness. Brees could spy a third option within three seconds. I miss those days. Watch the direction Carr’s helmet faces. In the red zone, can he look in another direction and find a secondary receiver?
“He’s too far along into his career for anyone to believe that anything will change, in his play or his unwillingness to take responsibility when he doesn’t produce. It is what it is. It seems like the contract will keep the team from benching him, so why be accountable?
They’ve got a tough game against a hungry, physical, talented team that has had extra time to prepare and is angry about a division loss. Injuries are piling up. If they don’t come out with a gut check performance this week, they’re gonna hear it from the fans. And they should. No more excuses. No more “we move the ball great between the 20s.” You get no points for yards. They gotta score touchdowns.”
-Stan Verrett
“Demario Davis, Cameron Jordan, Taysom Hill, Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara embrace the city and the fans. They are the leaders of the locker room. They are the face of the franchise. They deserve better, but we need them, especially in difficult days.”
Sunday is not another game. It is a franchise defining moment.

Now they have a dedicated thread angry at Carr for eating at a Chipotle as his first meal in New Orleans. They say it’s a slap in the face to the hometown lol.

Brutal take from a Saints fan
For a man who professes to be a devout Christian, Derek Carr sure likes to blame others a lot. Very rarely does he seem to take responsibility for anything!
He's also unchangeable. By that, I mean he's STUCK in his ways. He cannot run. He cannot read defenses. He cannot adjust. He'll stare down a receiver and throw it no matter what.
He ain't even a shadow of what Drew Brees was.

It's disappointing that Saints fans don't appreciate how jacked Derek Carr's arms are. He's trying to help them by going sleeveless whenever possible. Everyone knows that's the real measure of a QB.
