Brock Bowers to miss a few games after Knee procedure.
Ouch. Top weapon gone for a few games.

I know Crosby was upset about Guerrero being the one to tell him he was shut down.
I think that was largely a Pete Carroll fail though and partially on Spytek as well.
Ole Pete probably didnt want Crosby shut down either so he could squeak out a 4-13 record and pick #3

Ive had 4 meniscus surgeries and it was about 1-2 week till I was up and walking without pain.
Another 2-3 weeks of rehab.
I was in my 30s and 40s and my career wasn't running, cutting, jumping, diving with defenses holding onto my legs.
Yes Brock is young but the healing is the same on the inside.
Initially I said 6 weeks and im sticking with his return in game 5.
Looking how the staff has cautioned on the long side id expect the same with our most valuable te.
I think listing him as day to day is strategic.
Defenses have only so much time to prepare for thier next game so if they spend 1 hour on defending Brock it takes away from thier total.

He practiced today. I still think he misses this game but it looks like he could definitely be back for week 3

I wonder at this point the details of the procedure. With that in mind I'm not leaving any odd scenario off the table. The Raiders keep saying he could have played last week if he needed to. Maybe that's true & maybe it's smoke and mirrors.
For example, say the surgeon goes in & see's theres not much of a procedure to be done. Not your classic meniscus cleanup. Maybe it's slightly more than "not much of a procedure" & still less than a standard cleanup. I can't help but think it could really be a scenario where they could have gone in there & were pleasantly surprised with what they saw & didn't have to do much

We also thought Jeanty was done for the year after holding a high mass when he went down.

The key to having Bowers practicing is it keeps the Chargers from totally skeeming to stop Jeanty. They have to focus on Bowers too so they aren't able to install one game plan.

Exactly. Part of having a modern day coach is playing the information game. Look at how Coach spoke about Jeanty leading into Week 1. There was plenty of room to believe he might not even play. He came out and kicked ass.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 4:56 pm The key to having Bowers practicing is it keeps the Chargers from totally skeeming to stop Jeanty. Bowers ain’t playin’, but why in the world wouldn’t you let that not be confirmed until the NFL makes it mandatory. Teams don’t have to declare a player “active/inactive” until 90 minutes before game time. Keep the opposition wondering.
It is SOOOOO f[raiders_icon]cking nice having a coach whose entire mindset is on what happens on the football field. Not about a good soundbite. Not about the cameras. Not about ESPN. Not a douchebag. Not a camera whore. Not an idiot. A legitimate f[raiders_icon]cking Head Coach.

Every surgery is different. People keep thinking their experience has anything to do with a players. I had my meniscus worked on at 60 and was climbing stairs 10 hours later. It might have just been a trim. I don't expect him to play this week but don't think he will be out long. it sounds like he got a trim, the amount they trim off will be a factor. Knees and backs are tricky when it comes to surgery. But the teams have access to the very best of the best, much like with Maxx so they will get him right quickly I would think.FLORIDARAYDAH wrote: Fri Sep 18, 2026 7:26 pm Every surgery is different. And Bowers was a limited participant in practice on Friday, 11 days after the surgery. Week three might be pressing it but I set the line at week 4 over under. I will make a thread.

Yeah it depends on how much was done. In my case a small amount but was causing fluid build-up and was painful. I feel if it was serious they would have fixed it a lot sooner. Probably thought it would go away and then he decided to get it over with now. Hoping to see him on the field sooner than later and he does soon. No player is thinking in game 1 this is a throw away season I will sit out and milk it. They won't rush him but he will be back as soon as he can IMOAttyla wrote: Sat Sep 19, 2026 4:13 am it sounds like he got a trim, the amount they trim off will be a factor.
