Looks like he went to the combine out of desperation. I wish him the best of luck in the future though. If he lights it up next year, good for him!
That's exactly it!
Why would he need to go to the combine to drum up business? I don't see Rodgers going and I don't think Brady did. If he was such a hot commodity QB needy teams would be lining up for a QB like him in his prime.
Well, I guess McZ and the majority on this board were right after all...

Everyone who isn't a Carrstan knows what he is, including NFL organizations.
Carr is a bridge at best and would also be a solid backup to a highly drafted rookie or second year player.
If the guy was top 10 material someone would've taken on that contract and given us compensation. But no one took on that contract and we didn't get compensation, sooooooo...
He's a low second/high third tier QB.
The TD pass numbers tell the story better than any other stat--even better than wins and losses. W's and L's can be deceptive because that's where the team aspect comes into play. But mediocre TD numbers with a solid array of targets over the last 6 years speak to an individual capacity.
Truly never know what side of the bed you wake up on this topic. Reality is the team would finish at 5-7 wins, how is that much different from St.Carr?
Exactly. In our division and you can include the conference we're in, there's no difference between 0 wins and 8 wins. Neither will get you to the playoffs

Carr and Allen getting the old band back together?
Someone explain this too me. They have Winston under contract this year.

Funny, the fans don't want him.

They're smarter than Jets fans.Aaron90
"Carr is good enough to win 9 games so I can keep my job, no matter how mediocre I actually am"
If we can't win with Drew Brees, we certainly aren't winning with Derek Carr ahahaha. My god this front office is psychotic.

It’s official we’re going to sign this guy. To many outlets are saying the Saints are going all out for him. Really disappointing
mtrahan
nothing is "official" until the dotted line is filled ... I am still praying against signing Carr, but Denise is forming Raiders 2.0, so .....

That’s true but these clowns are going all out to get him. Thank God they’re in debt right now and Carr is playing them to get more money out of the Jets. Fingers crossed the Jets pull it off.
fitz164
Well before we can sign him we need to see a flurry of restructures and cuts so until then we are very safe from Carr.

9 games with Carr at the helm? Will Lutz is not a very good kicker and they are going to need him because Carr doesn't equal touchdowns. They are going to need a massive effort from their defense. Speaking of which, their defense is gonna love him in the locker room the way he will leave them out there on the field all day like that...
12,000 votes and Jets fans would rather have Carr than Rodgers? Makes no sense. Even with the loss of draft capital, the Jets already have a solid defense.
https://twitter.com/richcimini/status/1 ... -XZWzen4Ag
Twitter Jet fans, makes sense.
