Wasn't because the theory was wrong, Carr simply chose to nix it.
Also, I did hedge in saying that he could choose to go to FA, in exchange for potentially higher guarantees at the cost of lower max value. We will see on that part.
Either way, he's gone, we're happy, and now we can get back to bickering about the 7th pick and previous wasted picks and cap space.

That is why he was allowed to talk to the saints. Another report came in that Carolina also had a trade package in but carr said no.
Whats not reported is, why carr would go see them then decide not to go through with it. The guess is teams interested in a trade wanted him to restructure. He doesnt want to. So he is going to roll the dice in FA. My guess is he will fleece... Im mean get 25 to 30 a year for about 3 years.
