It's interesting to me how many posters suddenly became active again once Carr said he wouldn't wave the NTC
Like you? Don't remember you ever posting. How ironic

I'll be sure to live my life on a message board a bit more now, to make you more comfortable in the future.
I would also say the Raiders were good to Derek in making his must release date so early so he could sign early.
They got out of a very large contract, as stated, with only a 6m hit.
If he worked out the money was in line.
And during the small window they tried to trade him exploring every opportunity, something I'd want from my gm.
Its a win all around except for DCs ego.
Never in his dreams would he think they'd move on from him leaving his cunt hurt.
Altogether agree, though wish we had cut bait long ago

I’d expect nothing less from a man who never lived up to the contracts he signed here his image is trashed all that talk & it is all about the money
At least Jacobs has the balls to say the money has to make sense i can respect that
I appreciate the candor and agree with nearly everything you say, especially considering our faith. As believers we should always walk in faith and strength, and the drudgery of hard work can be some of the most glorifying sacrifice we can make. We should all be beyond thankful just to have a job and a healthy body to perform it.
Although I have rooted for DC a long time, I am very thankful this saga is ending. I don’t claim to know the ins and outs of all that has occurred, but it has grown absurdly tiring and we just have not gotten anywhere with him at the QB spot. Fair or not, great players elevate their teammates and I just didn’t see it the past couple of years. The amount of losses to terrible teams kept sucking the life out of me as a lifelong fan. I’m ready for the new change and direction, and I have my doubts about McD, but nonetheless I’m ready to watch a Raider game without conflicted feelings about the QB. We need to right this ship and DC has been a polarizing distraction for too long. That is inarguable.
I am also a Christian and I was never a Carr fan.
Bronco Tim Tebow seemed more like a genuine Christian to me.
Carr never took the blame and always had a holier than thou air to him.
Tebow seemed more humble.
The HBO hard knocks really cemented by view of Carr. He talked down to Abrams in one scene and acted like he owned the place. Even Tom Brady presents himself as a more down to earth and humble guy. It was almost like Carr was trying to play the part of a leader. There was no servant leadership or humility and grace from him.
It also didnt help that his brothers are right wing conspiracists that want to hurt fauci and cheer for Brandon. They are the type of Christians that see Christianity as a patriotic identity and not as a way of life.
I always cringe when right wingers insult or threaten someone online but have a profile signature that says Father, Patriot, and Follower of Christ :|
The Christian Carr brothers sure know how to blame others like the Bible teaches us.
Cant wait till Carrbage and his cult followers are gone
https://twitter.com/joshdubowap/status/ ... gY-nEdKnlg
Sure there is:
Carr wasn't going to play the final season on that contract that paid him below league value. Anyone who thinks Carr was playing without an extension is fooling themselves. (Like Dubow is in his replies to Tafur)
The extension gave the Raiders what amounts to a very cheap out if things went south, and the no trade allowed Carr to control his destiny. It's the definition of a win/win for both sides if the Raiders decided to move on.
The trade stuff was just a hail-mary if Carr would play ball, but the Raiders signified they were fine cutting Carr (if it came to that) when they negotiated that contract a year ago.
The argument boils down to people thinking the Raiders shouldn't have given Carr that no trade so that they could try and trade him and get a return. That's fine, but it's also ignoring the pick your position situation that without that no trade Carr would have required more guarantees up front which would have made the dead cap from trading him MUCH higher. So it boils down to do you prefer a 3rd round pick in compensation, or more cap room? Prioritizing the cap space may not be a position everyone agrees with, but it's not without some merit
