Again, the Commanders started it weeks ago with shutting down Jayden Daniels. Any investigation should start with them and that clown Dan Quinn.

the league does not have to prove it, they just have to have a reasonable belief based on evidence. This is not a courtroom, this is the NFL and they hold the power.Xramfan wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 3:18 pm Seems nearly impossible to prove. It’s not like they benched Max and Bowers and Jeanty mid season with no injury history.
Lots of teams let their star players begin recovery once the season is over and Max and Bowers have been dinged up throughout the year with Max reportedly needing surgery.
I just want Jeanty to come down with the flu Saturday and we are nearly set

They can investigate all they want, my God the Giants offloaded a lot more players than we did this shit isn't going anywhere.BoKnows81 wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 3:23 pm Again, the Commanders started it weeks ago with shutting down Jayden Daniels. Lawsuits would be abound if that happened. The nfl will need solid proof

beating a lawsuit is 51%. And being interviewed by the league vs testifying under oath are completely different situations. What they need to do is if they are going to investigate, they need to turn it over to independent hands so the league can claim they are out of it.DanKD wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 3:29 pm Lawsuits would be abound if that happened. Not sure what there is to investigate. We were getting our asses handed to us with the starters playing all year. Why not protect players at the end of the season.

Any legal battle would tie things up past the 2026 draft. There has been more obvious cases than the Raiders that reveived no consequence. Really dont think the league wants this battle and highlight on potential tanking.Attyla wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 3:36 pm beating a lawsuit is 51%. It seems that the rules are viewed differently if/when the Raiders sit down players that have been playing injured to a point as opposed to other teams. But I’m thinking that one of the coaches or someone else from inside the organization would have to come forward with damming info for this to gain any real traction.Oaktownonly wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 3:37 pm Not sure what there is to investigate. I think the one thing you guys are missing is the timing. We "shut down" our two best players days before a game in which the NFL had not seen in 44 years. Do i think the NFL will investigate? No. Would i be surprised if they did? No.

The NFL isn't going to bat an eye. This is a big nothing burger unless Mark Davis gets stupid with the press. The NFL wants the Raiders to be relevant. The Raiders have become what they are on their own accord.

If anything ,they will start the process of talking about 5 to 10 team lotteries.
But the NFL also knows the spotlight is on the tanking season too.
Any news is good news mindset.

That is why I don't think this is a lawsuit situation. I think this is an independent assignment if it gets to that. The league has a path to look into this that keeps both sides out of it to determine a conclusion. But even then, I do not think it goes even there.DanKD wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 3:39 pm Any legal battle would tie things up past the 2026 draft. But there is little doubt the league is getting pressure to look at it.
Easiest solution, the Raiders fire everyone like the Colts did and everyone is satisfied.

Exactly. If the Raiders are guilty, half the other teams are as well. I’m less worried about the league investigating than I am about the Raiders beating KCHesterLayes wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 3:39 pm There is nothing going to happen…you guys are shell shocked lmao…
