Sometimes the baggage of the past weighs quite heavily on your current decisions. On paper his yardage stats can be appealing and across the internet, his little cult will tell anyone who'll listen that he's an elite player in a bad situation.

Rodgers OTOH is an actual known quantity to every fan of the NFL. He's aging and there are legitimate concerns that someone his age could hit the wall at any time.

They may also just be hankerin' for a rebuild. I don't know what their cap situation is, but they may see Carr as an affordable bridge that'll give them a shot to win some games while rebuilding. If not, then oh well, they'll only be on the hook for his contract for one season.

As for what we might get for Carr, I'm still on the "I'm just glad he's finally gone" high. I don't care if we don't get anything for him. Cut him like an infected limb and move the f[raiders_icon]ck on.
