I like your vision. I have been clamoring for us to get back Bricillo for a long time. He had mostly the same shit at OL to work with and had them playing lightyears better as a group. I think Webb is a AL Davis type pick (young and signing them before they explode on the scene). Webb is already mentioned as one of the best coach candidates under 35 by a couple of publications. Former QB who can grow with Mendoza. Daboll has had success as both a coordinator and HC. I know some don't like him, but I like how he is not hell bent on his own philosophy and he dictates his offenses and philosophy based on the strengths of his players.WolfRaider wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 5:03 pm I have a vision….
Head Coach: Davis Webb
Offensive Coordinator: Brian Daboll
Offensive line: Carmen Bricillo
Defensive Coordinator: Jim Leonhard
Webb has connections with Daboll and Leonhard, Daboll has a connection with Bricillo.
Have Daboll calling offence, while Webb learns and gets to grips with being HC. Daboll will end up with a HC gig quick if Mendoza pans out. Webb to then take over calling plays.

I would take the 'unknown' of Webb, Kubiak or Shula over the 'known' goofball that is Mike McDaniel any day of the week. You may think you like his awkwardness but that shit will grow old real quick. He is not head coach material. And save it with the Tua argument. The only time Tua looked like a halfway decent QB was when Tyreek was on the field. He was a dink n dunk specialist without Hill. The Dolphins team progressively got softer after 2023 and McDaniel never won a playoff game during his tenure. It would be a disaster of a hire.

Schefter and newsweek say the bills and raiders are both battling it out for their choice of Davis Webb as head coach. Could be misdirection, but either way it looks like we should either get Webb or Kubiak.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 4:44 am I would take the 'unknown' of Webb, Kubiak or Shula over the 'known' goofball that is Mike McDaniel any day of the week. Webb is inexperienced but has worked with more QBs than his coaching record would suggest. He was credited with being a QB coach while playing backup QB.Raider_Dave wrote: Sat Jan 24, 2026 11:16 pm He's a QB Whisperer... after working with all of 2 QBs. Wilson and Nix. Guess we'll see what he's made of Stidham tomorrow.
He worked with Daniel Jones in the one year that Jones played well, and that was the year Jones got himself paid. He worked with Josh Allen in his ascendance to one of the best in the game from a talented but scattergun QB. Webb did advance scouting for the Giants on upcoming opponents. He was prepping to be a coach long before he was a coach, because his playing career wasn't gonna happen.

Webb to the Bills does make some sense. Connection and all, but I think they will want a guy who is more "win now" than Webb since he will be on a steeper learning curve. Just my opinion, but my gut still says we are Webb's destinationRaiderFan1 wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 5:46 am Schefter and newsweek say the bills and raiders are both battling it out for their choice of Davis Webb as head coach. Agreed. I'm tired of failing with "proven" coaches.BoKnows81 wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 4:44 am I would take the 'unknown' of Webb, Kubiak or Shula over the 'known' goofball that is Mike McDaniel any day of the week. Webb and Kubiak are both from Texas. Played HS ball in Texas. Webb played college ball in Texas and Cali. Kubiak played in Colorado. Webb had a pro career at all 3 New York teams. Nada for Kubiak.
Buffalo at 8pm last night was 15 degrees, and Las Vegas 48.
Age of Buffalo’s stadium, 53 years old. Vegas, 6 years old.
The choice is obvious between the two. Unless you like freezing your balls off and working at a dogshit tired-ass stadium.

since the Bills wont be able to interview coaches from the winning teams of todays games during the 2 weeks leading up to the superbowl, and the raiders can, i wonder if bills are leaking to misdirect the Raiders to strike first on Webb when they really want someone else.Attyla wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:05 am Webb to the Bills does make some sense. And since it appears Its Webb and Kubiak that are in contention, do any of you know anything about Kubiaks demeanor, personality, leadership traits ? Is he loud, quiet, introvert, extrovert. I know nothing about him accept hes had two average years calling plays, and one great year calling plays

In fairness to Buffalo, they are building a new stadium as we speak, set to open next year I believe.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:28 am Webb and Kubiak are both from Texas. Dunno about any misdirection. I assume teams are doing their due diligence while they can to get their guy despite what others are doing. Kubiak from what I have seen is not loud but it is hard to tell if he is an introvert or extrovert. That does not come out in press conferences.RaiderFan1 wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:40 am since the Bills wont be able to interview coaches from the winning teams of todays games during the 2 weeks leading up to the superbowl, and the raiders can, i wonder if bills are leaking to misdirect the Raiders to strike first on Webb when they really want someone else.

Kubiak is a more level personality. He's not a fiery emotional coach. There have been some concerns from some people about whether he's really more of a strategist and playcaller, to the detriment of his abilities as a potential head coach. There have been Seattle players who have spoken out about him as a great leader though.

Buffalo's new stadium is expected to be ready for the 2026 season. It will still be cold though.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Sun Jan 25, 2026 6:28 am Webb and Kubiak are both from Texas. If Josh wants Webb (former teammates), he will make sure the Bills get him.
