New coach ………. Again
What’s your thoughts? I prefer young offensive minded with a fresh DC. Kubiak, Cooter, Kafka and pair them with someone like Al Harris as the DC.

I apologize for insulting your intelligence with a question. I'll just use Google next time.

I may be way wrong on this.. wasn't Sarkisian on a past team staff of ours ?? Wouldn't mind him at all.Viper wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 7:10 am I like Sark alot actually. Nobody knows who the right guy is til we hire him and he proves it tho.
But we all know who the wrong guy is and he is currently still employed.

Those would be the two obvious targets for a young offensive guy. Hondo with the inside scoop againJRaider17 wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 7:07 am For what its worth, Hondo thinks we go young offensive and keeps mentioning Mike Lafleur and Klint Kubiak.

Are the Raiders the only NFL organization without a legit beat writer? I don't consider Hondo legit as he spends all his time saying a lot of words that result in nothing newsworthy. ESPN and the Athletic don't even have full time beat writers for the team. So weird that the organization doesn't have one guy that fans can count on to dig up anything.

The Athletic used to have Tashan Reed but one for the feeling he really didn’t like the gig.
Vinny Bonsignore covers the team for the Vegas paper and is the only who occasionally can break something interesting. But he’s more on the business side of things than everyday sports nuggets

Reed got a more lucrative offer to cover the Commanders for the Washington Post and it looks like the Athletic won't find a replacement for him until the offseason. Covering the Raiders probably isn't the stuff of dreams for most talented writers unless you are fixated on writing stories about ineptitude, bad QB play, futility, coach hirings, followed by firings, rinse and repeat.Marzan wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 8:08 am The Athletic used to have Tashan Reed but one for the feeling he really didn’t like the gig.

I'm for keeping Pete and I think many in the Fire Pete corner overestimated the team he inherited; see the prediction thread.Oaktownonly wrote: Wed Dec 31, 2025 12:34 pm Everyone has their opinion on what the HC should be. All of us could be wrong. These goons might pick a special teams coach as HC. Hell, they may stick with Pete.
