probably on my own here, but I'm cutting Carr now. The flag football game this weekend is too much of a risk.

Apparently word coming from Carr’s camp is that he prefers to be traded, which is exactly what I’d expect so he doesn’t have to “compete” on the open market. In getting a trade with that salary he knows a team really wants him and will not have to compete for the starting spot.
I'm not always a huge Florio fan but he has an interesting take on Carr being denied to talk to teams regarding a trade..
seriously? I didn't realize that
I wasn't aware of the rule until a few years back when some late-season punt returner for the Steelers (who hadn't made the playoffs) was arrested for DUI a couple of weeks after the season ended. The Steelers cut him right away, but the NFL disallowed the transaction because the rosters were locked. So they cut him a few days after the SB instead.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB0ZjMqOy1A
Def a point to be made, although I think the Raiders still hold more leverage in being able to not let him hit the open market at all. If a team really wants him they’re going to have to give up something.

It's disturbing to me that I think like Florio, but meh. You have to do what you have to do to create leverage - sometimes it is just about creating the belief that you'll do whatever you need to do to in creating that leverage.
Only problem with that is he and his people are likely talking anyway
Then again, the Raiders can opt to keep him and shelve him. Carr is not going to want to sit and that just makes no sense for the end of this. Both can get what they want/need. Then again, if Carr has become as douchy as his brother has been, I guess all bets would be off!
Actually Raiders hold the power. They’re not cutting him for nothing. He’s going to valuable in some form, on the market at some point. People may not want to hear this but Sanjit said it on his video and it’s exactly what I’d already thought. You take the cap hit and hold him until a team comes calling. And one will eventually. For all the talk of dumb, the Raiders are actually in the better position with this contract and it’s a very smart move not allowing him to talk to other teams right now. Doesn’t allow him to find a price and whether or not to hold that no trade clause. He risks not ever getting a contract close to what he has with the Raiders now.
IMO too risky...I don't think he will waive his no trade clause for a team far from home.We take a cap hit,pay him a bunch more $$$ and he sits at home.Perfect scenario for him as football isn't near as important as the $$$.
Just flush The turd asap...I may be wrong but I don't see any team trading much for him to be worth the risk, distraction, cap hit and money we'd have to pay him to sit at home.

Don't take a chance with the cap hit. If no one has taken him from us a couple of days after the Super Bowel (yes I meant to type it that way because KC is in it), just cut him.
That's an important point. He's already shown that his word means nothing, so who's to say he wouldn't be perfectly happy taking our money to be the #3 quarterback for a year, then retire?

He seems convinced that he's in the top class of QBs

The Fresno fraud needs to be flushed,I can't see any team trading much for him so the risk far outweighs any gain.
