Around the NFL
No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

Actually, I borrowed that line from Ron White, one of my fav comedians ever...if you're not familiar with him, view any of his YouTube videos...the guy is hilarious. Just some of his facial expressions are funny as hell.raider_kin wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 12:17 pm I just checked with 23And Me; we have common ancestors of the "I Don't Give a Shit" family tree.![]()

Brady was a 6th round pick and developed from game manager to GOAT. I think Belichick deserves a bunch of credit for Brady's development from a 6th round pick into an elite QB over the first 5-6 years of his career. Brady credits him for that too.RickRyb wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 12:09 pm Sometimes if you look at the picture as a whole, what did Belichick do before and after Brady? I never thought Chuck Nohl was a great coach. He went to 4 Super Bowls in five years, but it was basically the same team every year. He didn't do much before or after that group.
Anyway, I don't really care that much.
I also think you're leaving out the fact that the defense was one of the best in the NFL over his tenure.

Mark Davis is winning ships left and right in the WNBA because... he has the bestest player.RickRyb wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 12:09 pm Sometimes if you look at the picture as a whole, what did Belichick do before and after Brady? Only Indiana is over-achieving due to coaching.

This is also the reason. Perhaps the main one…SkullCrusher wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 5:20 pm Mark Davis is winning ships left and right in the WNBA because... he has the bestest player.

I'm sure that is what he wants with the Raiders, but all the f[raiders_icon]cking coaches/gm's are letting him down.GoodTimeCharlie wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 5:43 pm This is also the reason. Perhaps the main one…

That’s a big part of the problem with him. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the coach hiring. He should have a committee hire the GM, then the GM hires the HC.SkullCrusher wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 5:58 pm I'm sure that is what he wants with the Raiders, but all the fcking coaches/gm's are letting him down.
He’s always been too involved and too emotional. He’ll never be like his Dad unless we’re talkin’ the late/not great years of Big Al.

Seems their not happy personal grudges kept Bill B out.

Western Michigan had the 107th ranked scoring defense the year prior. After one year with him they jumped to 9th. Apparently he was on Minters staff in LA in 2024. Chargers may have a pretty good DC again
