No clue where to post some stuff not necessarily team related but could be? Feel free to delete if this belongs somewhere else.
Maxx and Parsons would be nasty. I probably wouldn’t pay the price though.

I thought some of the leaks on why was the cheats his team did, which I can slightly see the reasoning.raidersince63 wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 8:39 am Gotta believe part of the reason Belichick did not get elected on the first ballot is because he was a complete dick with the media.

I can understand some thinking that something like Spygate, or being a dick to the press is an issue with a less accomplished head coach. Belichick's achievements are way beyond the level where that shit should make a difference. It should have been an incredibly easy vote for every single voter. I'm not going to lose sleep over it though.

Well it's the same with Bonds, Arod, Rose, et al...their accomplishments are well noted but there may be other factors in any voters decision.Jeevo wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:04 am How he dealt with the press is completely separate from his record in the league. He’s the only no-brainer on the list that they had yet at least 20% found some crazy way to say no.

But they did get caught in at least two cheats, so what about Bill's integrity then?Jeevo wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 9:00 am Like I said earlier, then they have no professional integrity.
Perhaps we forgot about this, but they didn't and it weighed.

Gotta agree with that part. I don't lose sleep over things that don't directly affect me or that I cannot control.chucker wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:11 am I can understand some thinking that something like Spygate, or being a dick to the press is an issue with a less accomplished head coach. Yup, and to add to that, I remember when Derek Jeter was not unanimously elected to the HOF, most Yankee fans lost their cabbage...gotta wonder when Brady's time comes, how many voters will remember "deflate gate"?SkullCrusher wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:12 am But they did get caught in at least two cheats, so what about Bill's integrity then?

It's probably a 1-year "courtesy" snub for his infractions. :)raidersince63 wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:19 am Yup, and to add to that, I remember when Derek Jeter was not unanimously elected to the HOF, most Yankee fans lost their cabbage...gotta wonder when Brady's time comes, how many voters will remember "deflate gate"?

Yeah, he'll obviously get in the HOF but it seems that some of the voters sent a message.SkullCrusher wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:21 am It's probably a 1-year "courtesy" snub for his infractions. :)

And I for one, am tired of hearing about Swift and Kelce, Belichick and his supposed GF as well as others...I'm 3rd generation don't give a shit.
But if they really do sleep together, how would you like to be that girl and have Belichick climb up on top of you in the middle of the night?

He was such an integral part of the texans' defense that they gave him 2 snaps on D all season, in a 44-10 win.haji81872 wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 11:01 am Damon Arnette was in the league last year with Houston? Wow.

Sometimes if you look at the picture as a whole, what did Belichick do before and after Brady? I never thought Chuck Nohl was a great coach. He went to 4 Super Bowls in five years, but it was basically the same team every year. He didn't do much before or after that group.chucker wrote: Wed Jan 28, 2026 10:11 am I can understand some thinking that something like Spygate, or being a dick to the press is an issue with a less accomplished head coach. Anyway, I don't really care that much.

I just checked with 23And Me; we have common ancestors of the "I Don't Give a Shit" family tree.
