Well the Colts are reportedly going rookie and Washington is rolling with Howell. So where the hell is this bidding war coming from?
Regardless if he gets traded or released, I would put this exact message out if I were Indy or Washington.
Frankly, claiming that they will stick with what they have or draft a QB gives the teams the same sort of leverage that Carr would enjoy by engaging more bidders.
It’s also his agents job to temper his delusions of grandeur. He will have to have a long talk with Derek about what similarly performing quarterbacks have been paid recently on the open market.
Derek thinks his excuses will travel

I still look back at last season and see trades for Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan. To maximize a return, the Raiders could pay the $7 million that's guaranteed in 2025 as a signing bonus. The contract is pretty friendly at $33 million for a team that has a lot to put around a QB - or so they think.
Not liking his play on the field is one thing but damn, these posts come across as y’all genuinely dislike the guy. Maybe a lil jealousy mixed in with disappointment. But it’s definitely hit some of y’all DEEP.
The biggest trigger for me when it comes to a church goer who’s annoying is when they come across as self righteous.
I’ve never gotten that vibe from Carr.
You don't see the hypocrisy in his sermon (stand-up act) because you don't want to. You don't see the bullshit in his press conferences because you don't want to. Just basic observations from anyone non biased can ascertain who and what he is. Those who notice don't have some sort of personality disorder as you would suggest, just observant.

As far as the article is concerned. I think Carr has always had the buffer from criticism provided by his family and others in his closer circle. Sounds like the criticism in front of the team was too much for him. For the record, I don't think JMD is a good coach but I appreciate consistency and fairness. If you treat everyone the same, players will respect that and respond accordingly.

He checked out mentally, then he lost the locker room then he abandoned the team. Stop blowing smoke up our asses, Carrdashians. This was written by the media chapter representative of the Church of Carr, good ole Hondo. His slant shows through a bit, but ultimately he managed to tell the undeniable truth. It looks like it's down to you four or so fundamentalist extremists. The emperor has no clothes.

Hondo has been spot on with a lot of his reporting, and really lines up with much of what we've seen. Some of the stuff in that article is amazing to me. This stood out:
The team employee said, "I remember one of Carr's friends saying that Derek was hurting. While he felt the team should've won in KC, he thought Mcdaniels' relentless and consistent push was not what the team needed."
One player summed it up best to me, "Josh sees a standard, and you have to meet that standard every second to win the trophy. I believe Derek saw it as constant negativity."

The offensive scheme he runs gives a lot of options to the QB based on the reads he makes at the line of scrimmage. There is a great reward if you go through the progressions & make the right reads. On youtube look at Earnhardt Perkins offense videos - look for Manning/Brady videos to see how this offense is run & what a QB is responsible for.
