Not sure which is worse..church Carr or press conference Carr? But they both make me ill :vomit:
Both equally full of shit.

1. "Nothing can get me down." (Which is why he bailed on the team after he was benched so they wouldn't see him bawl.)

2. "I need to forgive, even if they don't deserve it." (Saying he was done wrong here.)

3. "Franchises are heavy." (Saying he CARRIED this franchise for 9 years.)

Biggest phony I've seen in many, many years.

The more he talks the less I like him. Just leave it alone and move on.

I really did love the guy. I always said I could differentiate his f[raiders_icon]cking horrible play on the field and the man off the field. I was horribly wrong on the off the field assessment. He is a f[raiders_icon]cking fake, pompous, entitled, egotistical, finger pointing douche bag. I could go on and on, but I figured that was enough.

Looks like some of you are coming over to my side. I don't buy that he is of some elevated character just because he is polite, loves his kids and goes to church. All you have to do is pull back the curtain just a bit and you'll see how this man is all about himself despite his lip service. You didn't want to be a distraction, how convenient. No sir, your massive ego was bruised and you needed to go cry it out. And what happened to you great leadership? You got hit with a small dose of reality and you couldn't handle it.

I'll still argue that Campbell was just as effective as Carr

I’ll not mock a man for having faith and going to church as I do the same.

Having said that I’ve never heard a sermon be self centered about the Pastor/minister. That brief clip sounded and looked more like a self promotion for a book he is selling about himself.

Good luck D

Good luck D
Basically grew up in a church, and I will also not knock anyone's faith. I have however met some of the most celf centered people in church. Faith doesn't necessarily change who a person is deep down. The I need to forgive them even if they don't deserve it line just screams celf centered professional victim.

I would never never knock someone's faith or their love for the Lord (I encourage it and am a church goer). I am not familiar with Carr's faith (or church), but how could he give a speech on an altar (I guess thats what it is) and talk like he is God. Very strange to me.
Miami? Baltimore, Seattle, Tampa? Those playoff teams have a question mark at qb in some form or another for next season

Miami also has the RM connection
Tampa is who I hear mostly. Miami is not ready to give up on Tua but there is a growing feeling that they will hedge their bet, but not with a high dollar QB. Seattle likes where they are at with Gino. Baltimore only shops if they cannot resign their guy.

Biggest phony I've seen in many, many years.
Yep. I Married into a family of pastors but not one of them can be considered a dummy. If Derek is going talk the talk, he will be better served if he has his shit together regarding world history, theology/world religion. That video of him is very intellectually cringe worthy and self centered. I’ll say it again, that only has the appearance of self promotion with zero substance.
“I’ve been going through some stuff…”
I wonder if he drives his Bentley to church. Dude is a multimillionaire who simply got fired + a $5M severance. It’s baffling how many people feel sorry for this guy. Glad he’s staying positive though….

https://youtube.com/shorts/pvvLprfxoK8?feature=share
Yeah, that really rubs me the wrong way.

I'll leave out the true tragedies that occur in the day to day lives of hundreds of millions, if not billions of humans and stick to football.

If a young player beginning to show promise suffers a career ending injury, that's worthy of some sympathy. A dream suddenly dies; everything he's worked for is in shambles and his future is uncertain.

Meanwhile, Carr really could stuff a mattress with $100 bills, sleep on it, and never miss that money. Every conceivable option is open for him and his family. He can continue to play football if he wants or he can do anything else he wants.

Sympathy because he got cut and gets to take $5 million+ with him?

As my uncle in Michigan once said, "f[raiders_icon]ck me runnin' through a snowbank."
