Special teams coach on the hot seat.RaiderandBulldog wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 2:48 pm Oregon State has also botched two snaps on PATs. I’ve never seen anything like this.
They pay the opposing team huge sums of money for the loss. OSU and many other teams like to pad the stats before the conference games begin. The losing team gets experience and cameras on them at the national level. Sometimes the underdog wins and it's a big deal. Last year it was Northern Illinois University beating Notre Dame. Biggest win in their football history. Who decides? It's a deal between the schools.Dr Death wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 4:24 pm Buckeyes take out Grambling 70 - 0. Why do teams like Ohio State play teams like Grambling? Who decides this?..... and why?

Seems to me that it just taints the winning team. I know most every top tier team does this. What I want to know is who clears these match ups early in the season. I doubt the schools make their own scheduals, so.... who does make the scheduals.... and why do they give the top teams powder puff games in the start of the season? I was shocked when Ohio State played a contender the first game of the season. That needs to be the norm, not the outlier.Atlasffa wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 4:35 pm They pay the opposing team huge sums of money for the loss. For non-conference regular season games, FBS teams are free to schedule matchups against any other FBS team, regardless of conference. A small number of FBS teams are independent and have total control over their own schedule.Dr Death wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 7:17 pm Seems to me that it just taints the winning team. Read a couple articles about Belichick. Apparently a vengeful, petty man.Sold My Soul wrote: Sat Sep 06, 2025 8:16 pm You can't make this shit up. LMFAO....
Losers and frauds all.
The New England Patriots are reportedly taking measures to retaliate against North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick's decision to ban their team's scouts from practices in Chapel Hill.
Per Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Patriots requested a staffer remove a North Carolina shirt. However, New England has refrained from involving starting quarterback Drake Maye in the drama.
"A source close to Belichick, meanwhile, was told that a Patriots staffer was informed in New England’s weight room he should remove his UNC shirt," Russini wrote. "But a Patriots source pointed out that starting quarterback Drake Maye — who went to North Carolina — often wears UNC gear around the facility with zero issues."
