Masters Week Has Arrived
Until the Raiders aren't painful to watch this is my favorite sports week of the year: Masters Week.
Will Jack, Tom Watson and Gary Player still be the honorary starters?
Speaking of which, when they are done with that duty who do you think will be the next ones? Johnny Miller, Ben Crenshaw, Ray Floyd?
Who are the favorites? Will Rory repeat? Will Matsuyama? Will a European player wear the green jacket this year: Aberg, Rahm, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Fitzpatrick, Macintyre?
Scottie Scheffler isn't playing his best, will he get it squared away this week and be in contention on Sunday?
Will someone's hopes for the jacket drown on Amen Corner?
I CAN'T WAIT!

And the worm has turned: Rory tied with Cam Young at 11 under after 3.
WOW.
6 others just 4 back of the leaders. Tomorrow is going to be epic.

The top 5 on the leaderboard could win it. No lead is safe and golf is an equal opportunity hater.

Epic Master's, one of the best I've ever seen. Sorry about Rosie, was kind of pulling for him. This course is a just a mind f**k all the way around.

I truly enjoy and respect great golfers. And although just a hacker myself I really enjoy playing 9 or 18 on a nice day although I don’t keep score on a card but rather how many balls I lose.
Having said that I just have zero desire to take the time and watch it anymore. When I did shift work on weekends I had coworkers that loved golf so I would watch it then but that was back in the prime Tiger era. I don’t think I would recognize anybody these days unless they are in their 50s and older.

It's definitely more enjoyable watching golf when you play regularly. I used to play 3 times a month, and watched golf every Sunday after we played 18.Xramfan wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 1:06 pm I truly enjoy and respect great golfers. Now I just watch the Masters, and maybe Saturday and Sunday of the Players. Most of my past favorites have moved on for one reason or another (Nicklaus, Davis Love, Phil)

For me, I was riding the fence for who ended up winning. I was pulling for Rory or Scotty to win...but also kinda wanted to see Rose finally get a green jacket.

I agree with what you are saying and imo it's because of LIV and it taking away a lot of the best players in the world away from the PGA tour. Which is why I love watching the 4 Majors because all of the best players in the world are there, just like this Masters. the leaderboard was fantastic. With every name you recognize. That's the way it used to be before liv. But it looks like defections back to the PGA are happening already with Koepka and Reed coming back. Wish Rahm and Smith would have returned too. I'm believe they will very soon though. Will make golf somewhat interesting again.Xramfan wrote: Tue Apr 14, 2026 1:06 pm I truly enjoy and respect great golfers. Congrats Rory! Was cool to see you go back to back even though it was much in question during sunday's final round which just made a great day Masters on the course. Mid round I found myself rooting for Rose, I would have really like to see him win a major a Masters after how close he's got to a green jacket.

Great Masters. Cory has 2 Masters since the Jets got an interception. That's just sad
