Joe Burrow Unhappy in Cincinnati- teams reaching out

Adam Schefter: " the most intriguing comments I've heard from anybody was from Joe Burrow on Wednesday, saying in Cincinati its no longer fun and his future there is questionable. I can tell you this, the other teams in the league took notice of this, and I know this because I was texting with those teams. Andrew luck when he retired played 86 games and had been sacked 174 times, Burrow 73 games and sacked 203 times, and Burrow sounds like a guy that is deeply reflective, contemplative and thoughtful about how he wants his future to proceed.. those were alarming words. that got the attention of a lot of people"

Some speculation but definitely unhappy. I Doubt Cinci would make it easy to leave but QB's have forced trades

The video is on Sanjits youtube channel if you want to here Schefters comments.

If he is already unhappy with the Bengals, coming to the Raiders is likely to send him into a deep depression he may never recover from.

The only QB who should be on our radar is Mendoza with the first overall pick. There's absolutely no reason the Raiders shouldn't IR Bowers and Crosby by week 17. Do the right thing for once and set this team up for the future. Would be a travesty if this abortion of a season was all for nothing.

It would be Carson Palmer, de ja vu. He played good football for us but his career and the Raiders trajectory were going in opposite directs.

Rainman56 wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 2:41 pm Our roster is so void of talent trading for Burrow and his massive contract makes no sense imo...I'd love to have a QB like Burrow but not with the current status of the team....Gonna take years even if the head office gets their heads outta their asses.

Hoping we can land a stud QB in the draft on a rookie contract and use the extra cap space to build the lines so he has half a chance to succeed.

Obviously need a new staff as well,no amount of talent at qb will mask the current staffs incompetence :paperbag:

Moot point as I don't see Burrow going from a shitshow to the biggest shitshow in sports at the moment. :paperbag:
I'm of the same thought. With how much talent we need it would not be the best time to make such a move

It would be the most Raider move to sign Burrow give up draft capital, than he decides to retire.

If he is likely to harm himself or others, then a judge will order him to play for the Raiders.

we can double those sack stats in a season, come, set records, get paid and spend it on the hookers.
the only real thing we have here is high class hookers.

Let's see....

JB gets his ass handed to him because of a shit- O-line for yearsand some Raider turd blogger tries to insinuate he is the perfect QB for the Raiders....

You just can't make this shit up.

Joe Burrow isn't coming here and I would fall out of my chair if the bungles let him play anywhere else. He knows as well as the coaches know that he was part of the problem this off season. Unlike Stafford, Burrow is way younger and easily one of the top 3 quarterbacks in the league. The haul of draft picks to get a quarterback like him would have to be a starting point of five first rounders and five second rounders. lol

Sending him here would be a crime against football. Send him to a team that needs:

- 4 starting linemen
- 2 starting receivers
- 1 edge
- 2 DTs
- 2 LBs
- 3 CBs
- 2 safeties

Now take away all of the teams money and draft capital for the next 3 years…

Yep, but you just know this team never does the "right" thing, lol. The Burrow thing is pure fantasy talk, no reason to even entertain the thought.

Well Pete Carroll is playing for his job; and if he manages to win just two more games and end up with a 4-13 record might just give him another season…Mark made no noise about firing Pete Carroll yet….I hear Miller is coming back this week in which I would just bench him for the season; and get him ready for next year

The Carson Palmer trade was an extremely short sighted acquisition and over estimated what the 2011 Raider team was. Bringing in Burrow would be worse, way worse.

We gave up our 2012 first round pick and 2013 second round pick for a rental that was only started 24 games.

However, "It was the greatest trade in football" according Hue "Action" Jackson as he reflected on his genius while enjoying his Irish Coffee and basking in his 15 minutes of fame with the press.

The best thing McKenzie ever did was send that clown [Hue Jackson] packing.

....beyond all of the other good, and many of which are obvious, points, we are finally in a position to only need to use one pick to potentially solve our QB issues for years to come, and to bolster the talent in front of that person, and while also filling in some crucial holes elsewhere.
...and I might be glass half full guy, but we have taken some potentially good pieces in recent years, and this year, especially, seemed to have done our best to not develop them, and put them in a position to grow. .....and while some players can seemingly make the players around them better in a hurry, we have had the coaching recently which makes everyone look worse than they would be otherwise, and our situation a bit more bleak because of it.

The Palmer deal was different than this situation. Palmer was sitting at home. And Palmer was past his prime and the team had already drafted his replacement. We were just stupid
