Fire Pete Carroll

Unread post by RenoRaiders75 »

I didn't see a thread yet, I wanted Pete to be able to stay a few years to rebuild us back, but it is clear to me that he is clueless on how to fix what is broken. We have made the same mistakes every week, with no corrections. He has to go! Thoughts?

My belief is that when the Raiders hired Pete, they didn’t expect to immediately make the playoffs but expected him to come in and build a foundation that would lead to being a playoff team in 2026 with another draft and free agent additions. Now the organization is in a worse place than it was under AP and 2026 is going to be what they were expecting in 2025. Basically 2025 has been a complete waste of a season. They can’t even hang their hat on player development as the veterans have regressed and the rookie class barely played. Brady and Davis must be pissed off as much as we are.

If Pete has any self repsect left he will retire at the end of the season and not try to milk the team for his contract. If he doesnt retire the raiders should make him the water boy but not fire him, let him run around with the spit bucket as comic relief.

This is true but honestly I doubt anyone here would have predicted Pete would deliver a 2 win season.

Things suck right now but Coach Pete has a very good track record of success plus we aint getting anyone better anyway so there is that. If anything he bolsters our credibility in terms of attracting younger coaches that would be eager to learn under him. I wouldn't be so concerned that we replace him but rather who can be brought to the organization to take over for him when the time comes.

We need stability not another round on the perpetual coaching hiring and firing crazy train.

We need to remove final say on personnel from Petey. Then let him coach.
If he doesn't like that, let him move on.

He passed on Rattledge who is the starting guard for Det, and instead grabbed a WR with 10 catches.
