FWIW, Al was into the WNBA too. Peter King once did a profile of Al in the mid-2000s; when he walked into Al's office, Al had four TVs arranged in a diamond pattern, all tuned to WNBA games.

The WNBA is like watching Pro Wrestling, except pro wrestlers are skilled at their job. It looks like most of the WNBA refs work the pro wrestling circuit too.
