This regime did nothing to earn that favor.

Would’ve been much different had he played the last two games.
So you’re ok with him potentially sticking it to the org because reasons?

To me the Raiders trump everything and if this is true he just evaporated any lingering good will I had for him. He’s not Tom Brady leaving NE, that deserves a certain amount of gravitas.

Ok Carr it didn’t work out but part ways and work something out. It’s business and of this works out this way of no extension to the deadline I hope the FO files this away when dealing with this agent in the future. I also hope the FO realizes just how dumb that timing was and learns from it.

As to your second point? You know exactly how this would work out had he played the last two games? Zero facts there and 100% speculation on your part.
You going to follow him to his next team? You can add on the years of him not winning a playoff game there
I hope he does. Twoutrally is obnoxious at this point.

I am not sure how him bidding goodbye to the team and its fans is a class act. That stuff happens all the time. A class act something someone does above and beyond for the good of others. This is simply saying goodbye.

Raiders leveraged the contract, why can’t Carr do the same?

He’s not a raider anymore, so it is what it is.

We got a couple weeks to get something bubbling in the pot as far as working a trade. Gotta take advantage of the time we have since we gave up on the playoffs 3 weeks ago.

As far as my speculation

You can’t agree that the climate would be much different had he been allowed to finish the season?

This is pretty passive aggressive and hurts his trade value.

Yeah, we really stuck it to him.

Someone else did that.

Which is my point.

My prediction: I think there are 3-5 teams that will have an interest in him, maybe 5-7 if you consider him as a back up QB at this stage in his career. For the teams that see him as their new starter, I am guessing we get a low #2 or a high #3 and maybe a #6 or 7. As a back up, I think we get two picks, like a low #3 and a #7. Some people still bandy about that he is worth a first round or second round pick for sure. Nope. And how about his agent advertising that Carr has "hardware" in his ankle. Dude -- did you follow the Carlos Correa debacle? Not that doctors/teams won't know that, but geez shut up about it.

Carr's real exit speech was vocalized by David on NFL Network. Just because Derek didn't speak it himself, that doesn't mean it wasn't his message.

This latest tweet is just a professionally composed message that he and his agent agreed was the best choice for giving him career options going forward.

My final thoughts on him are: he did give a lot, but he got a lot in return. We all give a lot to our careers and we don't get millions in return. When the time comes to move on, you just move on and realize you are no longer a fit, either their choice or yours. In this case it was ours. He would have stayed a Raider I am sure. I think he has the potential to be a winning QB, I could even see him winning the Super Bowl, but that D would have to be in the top 10, maybe 5. He makes too many inconsistent drives happen. I read the reasons why they benched him, and they made so much sense. 1)He doesn't put it out there on every play 2) He says "It is all on me." "It starts with me" but does nothing much to fix it, and after 9 years of saying the same thing with not much results to show from it, Davis said enough is enough. Say what you want about the Davis family, but I feel like I would have done the same, but maybe 4 years earlier. Win, lose or tie it is Raiders till I die. But please, it needs to happen soon, my heart can't take too many losing seasons.

I still do not see us getting anything in a trade (and I am perfectly fine with it). The Raiders (wrongly or rightly) played their hand and their intentions are exposed to all. Does someone try to make a trade (and blocking other QB needy teams). I personally do not see it. I am thinking that NONE of the teams interested in Carr want to pay him that salary. At the end of the day, it will almost be like we traded Carr (his salary vs potential FA's who we wouldn't have had the chance to sign). Z, go on a f[raiders_icon]cking shopping spree and get us some D.
Do these reporters not know that a deal for Carr has to be in place within 3 days after the SB? There is no waiting until after the draft.
.Proof they don't know shit
