OK fellas, here is where we are at. I have it on good authority that these teams will at least inquire if he is available via trade to their teams. This means will Derek waive his no trade for them:
Carolina, Tennessee, Jets, Green Bay (yes, you heard that correctly) Indianapolis, Houston, Washington (but this is not firmed up as of this moment)
What I am hearing very second hand says he would waive his no trade to any of them.
So there is at the very least passing interest and that we are in contact with his agent. I have heard no compensation details other than the low level scout for the Titans who thinks it is at least one first round pick. FYI the scout I am speaking to is a fairly new friend of mine (yes, f[raiders_icon]ckers, I have friends) so this is a new source for me so I am not sure how connected he is.
LOL I would LOVE to see Derek in Green Bay. The frozen tundra, no o-line, no receivers. What a bounty of excuses for him there. I'd tune into every game.

I have heard the Jets are very interested in Carr (if they do not have to trade for him). They are not willing off picks or have pay him his current salary. They will do a redo on his contract (incentive laden) if/when the time comes. On a side note, they have supposedly stifled info (yeah right) coming out of the organization about Carr because of tampering concerns.
Carolina would be a good location for him. They have a great Carrtoon on the side of their helmets.
It looks fierce growling and all. Would make Carr look meaner. Some players might mistake him for a tough guy.
The Carrolina Panthers! This would be a great business opportunity. They could sell THOUSANDS of seats!!! Just think of it. They could also have over the public address system after he makes a play or throws this 18th touchdown in 17 games instead of a growl a Carrrrrrrrr. Or when he threw an interception or missed a wide open receiver or did his patent gopher ball the crowd could hissssssss at him like a kitty cat.
Even better yet Eddie Peneiro has #4. So him and Carr could have a cage fight for the number. Bruce Buffer could be the announcer. In this corner weighing in at 5-11 and 190 the kicker, Eddie the "kick ass" Pineirooooooooo! And in this corner (Buffer covering the mic, where did he go?! Drag him back in here!) weighing in at 6-2 and 215 pounds the new Panthers quarterback, Derek the "gopher killer" Carrrrrrrrrr!
And he can continue wearing silver and black(with some blue).

While a deal cannot be official until the new year, teams can negotiate to trade for him. Tampering would only apply to negotiating with potential free agents.
I do expect most of the stuff about Carr to be behind closed doors until a deal is made, though.

A year ago there were rumors about multiple teams supposedly having an interest to sign Jimmy G. But the rumors proved false and he ended up signing a one-year $7 million "prove it" contract with the 49ers.
I consider Jimmy G to be a higher skilled QB than Derek so my guess is that the Raiders will release Carr and another team will sign him to a one-year $5 million contract.

The Jets have been discussed a lot in connection with Jimmy G because of LaFleur being the OC there, but they've terminated his contract. The connection with Saleh remains but the connection with the offensive system is no longer there.
