OC probably won't be as important since it's his system and probably would call plays. At least would think he's calling the shots on offense. Maybe he pulles Randle El the Lions wr coach for oc? Who knows. But the dc hire will be interesting
I’ve been thinking about the DC possibilities. But I kept thinking what if Carroll came in as DC and served as a mentor. Would be good for Johnson to just focus on the team and offense. He could also learn a thing or two from one of the best coaches in the modern era.

Nothing serious just thinking of possibilities.
I don't believe Ben Johnson needs to use anyone as leverage. And I don't believe he would take an interview and take time away from his prep for the playoffs if the interview was just a game to get more money from another team. He doesn't need to take "game" interviews to get a pile of money from interested teams. On the other hand, maybe he's a complete moron and doesn't know that?
Yep, he doesn't need leverage. He knows he is a wanted man. He can say I want 5 years 50 million or whatever he wants and a team is going to pay.

That Bears writer must be a scrub. If he truly had a bunch of leaked info I cant inagine that would make Ben Johnson want to take the job knowing all the leaks coming from the front office.
If we do not get Johnson or Coen, I will be disappointed. I could live with Pete, but those are the 2 guys I hope we get. TBH, I prefer Coen over Johnson.
We should interview Vance Joseph. Got into it with Payton yesterday plus they’ve rebounded from their 70 point beat down a year ago & all players, including Arizona vouch for him.

Chicago Bears fans are already calling for tampering since Brady is scheduled to call the Lions game next weekend. Obviously, Brady can't have any kind of pre-game interaction with Johnson but, I found that pretty comical. I think they can sense Johnson slipping away, and that the Brady effect is nothing to f[raiders_icon]ck with.

McCarthy is a great “fallback” option if Ben Johnson isn’t available.
My guess is someone in the League office leaked it. I hate when people get punished for private conversations, not sure how many of us can actually live up to that standard. My fishing buddies and I often laugh at what our wives, kids and friends would think if they heard our conversations on the boat.
I still like the Jack Del Rio did it, petty revenge to get back at Mark for firing him and hiring Gruden.
Disagree. He was groomed by one of the best coaches and offensive minds the league in McVay. The kid had TREMENDOUS success with the Bucs who went from 23rd in total offense to 3rd. They also scored 9 more points per game. I will also add that they had some injuries on the offensive side of the ball (like Godwin) this season. You will be hard pressed to find anything or anybody saying anything other than glowing reports about him.
Right now Ben Johnson, Todd Monken & Liam Coen are my top 3, either of hose guys would get the needle moving in the right direction IMO

If you do bring in Coen then i think you have to bring in the guy who will know what he wants on the offensive side of the ball as GM in Spytek

Spytek has a reputation in scouting ranks, has been fully involved in the Bucs drafting well & has a relationship with Coen which is exactly what is rumoured they want.
